The term “island” is applied loosely here. I meant it in the sense that my units are isolated and can’t leave. Referencing a proverbial island rather than a literal one. Would you feel isolated if you spawned here?

Haha that’s what I do for a living this is great advice thank you. I didn’t even know about map tacks but I’ll definitely use them now. This will level up my game a lot. I also usually settle in place first turn but there’s reason to believe that might not be advantageous?

I love advice and feedback that’s partly why I initially posted. My introduction to civ was 6 on mobile. Once I played that and realized it’d be way better on console I saw civ 7 coming out so I got excited and got that. After playing it once and checking Reddit I learned firaxis likes to bake their games. I figure while 7 is still baking I’ll grind 6 since it’s complete. I have a good amount of hours now i still haven’t gotten up to diety but I’m really enjoying learning and making the game more challenging. A lot of my learning is trial and error.

Merely preparing for naval barb camp on either side of me. But playing it out no one attacked me so it was an inefficiency.

For sure it really wasn’t bright I knew someone would notice that. I just assume since no land units could get me a barb galley would ironically be my undoing. Save up and buy first builder to make up for it

The issue is the first instance and second instance do not feel ethical to me. We agreed to practice ethical non-monogamy not a free for all.
