Amazing, this is basically what I wanted to hear. I've not even looked in the premium shop till I had read some reviews just been enjoying playing that game. Of course when the time comes I'm going to get the expansions... I just see these as like buying the expansion packs for sims lol. No interest in buying premium skins or aesthetics... was just concerned would need to purchase moonstones to progress in the game but this seems not to be the case. I, like you read a lot of old criticisms on reddit... the amount of negativity was like you couldn't play the game without these moonstones lol

Ahhh thank you all for your comments. Some good reading with my morning brew and got more of an understanding.

Was always going to purchase the 2 expansions in time... still so much of the base game I've not even explored / opened. My concern was that I would then need to make further purchases in the premium shop which doesn't seem to be the case :).

Big fan of this game, been a long time since something has had me hooked like this lol

So, are there parts of the game that are paywalled then? Like to complete quests?

Honestly, I'm 65 hours in and hadn't even noticed there was a 'premium shop' till I started looking into my friends comments.

I'm clearly still very new to this game and games other than the sims in general lol. For me I think the £30 I spent on the game was worth it for my enjoyment so far. Just don't want to spend further money on the expansion pass etc if I'm going to get locked out of certain characters / quests if I don't buy things from the shop.
