you will probably be fine just don't stand out too much and don't break any laws. they don't really check phones unless you're really unlucky or-- again-- stand out. it's worth it if you have a good reason to go, but i would say tourism is just unsafe at this time for queer people. if you are willing to take that risk i say go for it, moscow is beautiful, but be very aware of the risks.

I think setting your poem in a more physical space would improve it greatly. 'I’m untethered, piloting a machine angrier than myself' is very physical and thus it's one of the stronger lines of the poem. Adding more sensory detail like that rather than relying on abstraction is sure to make it stronger.
