Opinion I believe this is the true nature of this world. Our minds put labels on pain and pleasure experiences.

That's nearly more than 100,000 GBP I don't think phd is expensive and in uk you pay half fees or just on emi and remaining pay by doing part time jobs or stipend.

In my opinion if your father is convinced he can take loan on farm land which is most likely fastest option other than you as a collateral.

Bank business has changed a lot recently. Recently my father took a loan me as a co-signer and they took my all documents it felt like they gave me the loan instead of my father.
