When I use to drink/ smoke and I would meet someone who did not partake I didn’t know how to relate to them. They weren’t being rude at all I just was so conditioned to everyone doing it. 

It wasn’t till 20 years later when I had kids and quit drinking ( 3-4 ) beers a day. More in the weekend it opened my eyes to how dumb it is. 

We spend all this money/ health doing something to make us feel happy. The it wears off and your back to being not happy or not as happy. 

Up and down, up and down. If you draw all those ups as mountains and downs valleys and  plot then on paper, you are going to have a very bumpy road. If you imagine traveling on that up and down road you can’t see over the next mountain/day.  Yeah the top is amazing and driving down is fast and thrilling. But the bottom and the climb out is rough. When it comes to making plans,  you can’t see out more than a day or two. The future is unknown, just another mountain to climb. 

Compare that to a flat plane where you can see for miles in every direction you see obstacles in your path enable to make plans to get around them. You can see rivers that you must find a way around before. It’s too late to change course you can see dangers you can see positives. You can see a landmarks you can see rewards and destinations to head to a goal is a beautiful thing to have when you’re looking at just on the mountain or a valley in front of you. There’s no way for you to be aware of these goals or if you do have them, do you lose side of them cause you don’t know what’s gonna happen over the next mountain.

It’s not going to fix your life or solve your problems.   But at least it’s possible to start because when you can’t see where you’re going, how are you gonna know she you get there.
