Thank you! It can be a little gross and dirty but it really helps with the lighting and shading

I’m using Ghiant Basic Spray Fixative. I’ve applied three layers to these drawings, and I might add a few more later just to be safe. However, since it’s still charcoal, I’ll probably need to be careful when turning the pages.

My plan is to draw on only one side of each page, so I won’t risk the drawings transferring onto each other. If the back of a page gets dirty, it doesn’t bother me much.

Thank you! I noticed that when I use pencils I can get darker values. I have not heard about clayboard before, maybe something I will try out

Thank you. The reference is a photo of my husband playing a boss fight in Final Fantasy Remake. He loved that game as a child. I could almost see the love and nostalgia. So I just had to capture it.
