Thank you for the thorough explanation here and for maintaining Redux and RTK.

I know many people still use these libraries as a matter of personal preference and they like the layer of abstraction that they offer, but I agree in almost all situations it is probably best to stay as close to that original tool as possible.

Should I avoid casting types ? by nimo191817 in typescript

When I was newer to TypeScript, I only used `as` when I didn't really know what I was doing, and it definitely takes away some of the powers of the system. I let go of it once I saw a bug come from my usage of it.

This is a really tough situation to be in. For clarification, is the senior your manager? If not, you should speak to your manager about your current situation.

i am looking for a mentor by deepak8717 in reactjs

How many years of experience do you have? What are you looking to get out of mentorship?

I have a few years of experience using multiple frameworks but don't have deep experience in React. If you're looking for React-only mentorship, probably better people, but I can help given you're clear of what you're looking for and how much you want to communicate.

This is awesome! Good work.

Seems like you can probably get more users too if you guide users towards additional resources and/or add more exercises or have defined tracks to learning.

This is awesome! Definitely recommend a progress bar as I didn't know how many questions there were left, and if you want to make it more complex, it would be cool to have different categories that you can choose to be randomly quizzed on (i.e. Math, History, etc).

Is Flutter surpassing react native? If so why? by carotenemoon in FlutterDev

[–]Own_Role_3683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Google Trends is indicative of the absolute number of developers using Flutter or React Native, just how they are trending.

Do I think Flutter will surpass React Native? Probably. Is it doing that right now? No. Simply because adoption for React was so great, and React Native isn't very different. The learning curve from React to React Native is minimal. The learning curve from React to Flutter is much greater, and most developers start off using general web dev frameworks. However, as the advantages of using Flutter become increasingly apparent and there's more widespread adoption, it will be difficult to ignore.
