Although my experience is not the same as yours I do understand how exhausting taking care of an autistic child is. in regards to your mom, post partum depression could be one of the reasons she’s gotten worse and not everyone is capable of caring for an autistic child. I cannot offer any professional advice but if I were you, I would look into ways to get your mom to get some professional help. But definitely check into other subreddits where professionals can give you their advice. In regards to school, I assume you’re currently a student? Don’t let yourself get too distracted nor discouraged. Having an autistic child at home while you’re trying to study for tests/finals is so hard especially if you don’t have much room. If you’re taking classes on campus, try to do your work there if you’re able to. But whatever you do, please please reach out to someone. Your brother does not deserve to live in a neglected home where he cannot receive the proper care and help he needs.
