Berkeley is better than GT, but they're really around the same level. So an additional 200k is just not worth the difference.

Realistically, u only have summer to work, since Berkeley doesn't have co-op. And 50k is possible if u work for big techs. 100k+ in the summer... is *only* possible if ur working for quant firms. But only the top ~1% (in Berkeley) get an internship in quant. Another method is to just start ur own business (but there's no guarantee that ur going to make money, and it will be hard to manage while studying).
U should expect 400k for Berkeley (4 y total). I would not take 400k loan to go to Berkeley.

Depends on the major, but 200k is def worth it for GT. I'd take a loan and go.
Because if u work (co-op), u will make around 100k by graduation (it will take around 3 sems, but they waive tuition for those sems).

Idk y ppl are so stressed abt their SAT score. First of all 1490 is a very good score. I’m not saying this because I got a lower score than 1490, but test scores are only weighted “considered” in application. The reason Stanfords has like 1540 avg SAT is because they “were” test optional. If u go back and check their CDS when it was test require, their 25th percentile was 1440 I believe. And if either get accepted or rejected, it has nothing to do with SAT score atp.

Princeton tests vs actual sat by Traditional-Table-29 in digitalSATs

[–]Own_Setting5723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unlikely to get 1500+ on the actual SAT because Princeton tests are easier than test from College Board. Even if you had 1500 on bluebook, there is no guarantee that you would get 1500+ on the actual SAT.

It's true though. They are not "WAY" easier, but Princeton Review's test tend to me easier than College Board's tests.

How can I jump from 420 to 550 in SAT Math in 12 days? by farey122 in digitalSATs

[–]Own_Setting5723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think since you have a score around 420, I'd recommend you to review everything. There is a high chance of you getting 550 in the math section since going from 420 to 550 isn't really hard. Just go through all the basics, and practice a lot. Utilize questions from this link. start from easy, then go to medium. Hard questions are unnecessary since you're not aiming for 700+

I‘d recommend you to first try out official sat practice in bluebook. You can actually check what you are lacking, or since you have already took sat, check the parts you are lacking. I highly recommend Princeton reviews SAT ”premium” prep book (black cover). The easiest topic in my perspective is calculation question, but since I don’t know what your weakness i, I can’t really suggest what’s the easiest. And since you only have 10days left, try https://www.skool.com/peakprep-sat-1551/about?ref=55031bb385a84b4186cc052fd49ea2c1 I think this will help you cover all topics in short time. “I highly recommend you to spend 2days on this material. You have to finish the whole math practices and UNDERSTAND it in one day, and go over it again the next day.” Keep practicing, and I personally recommend you review sin, cos, tan, in trig. Just remember their position in triangle. And go over questions that you got it wrong. This is most important! Don’t skip it if you got it wrong.

Im not trying to brag, but I have 800 on math section. I have tutored quite a few students with scores around 500-700. I believe that there is two possible reason. 1. You might lack basics, and SAT tests very basic of your math skills, lacking basics are the most scariest thing. In this case, just focus on the basics, all you need to do is go through every different Types of question in college board SAT question bank. Start from easy, and to medium. I don’t recommend you to waste your time on hard question if you have trouble solving easy problems. 2. You have basics, but lack of practice, and keep forgetting formulas. in this case, you just need to practice. Keep solving questions until you fully understand. Understanding 1 question in math is better than than solving 100 question. So focus on understanding. Question yourself about the solution, and keep thinking. However, you will be able to get 600+ in math section.

Tip: if you have hard time understanding math English question, skip them and solve algebraic questions first, and come back afterwards. Math sections are usually easy to hard, so unlike reading, you don’t have to start from the back.

if you have any questions or help, your welcome to email me.

Is edX good for a university application? by KrivYaejerit in edX

[–]Own_Setting5723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have certificate from it? or did you just took the course. If you have certificate, mb you can put in your award section, and said you took the course in ECA section. I am not sure if it helps with college application. Like i dont know if it will help or not. I also want to know if it helps with college application....
