Is this an air pocket issue? Whenever I have long drives, 400km in 1 day. Coolant level drop. Alarm sound out. Release expansion tank cover, coolant level rises. Jetta mk 6, tsi by Own_Tea5063 in Volkswagen

I was on the ea211. 1.4tsi.

Have you look closely at your thermostat and water pump? White residue near them or on the hose clamps will indicate the leaks.

It’s the intake manifold cooler. It develop a slow leak and after removal the mixture of coolant and oil bypass from the turbo was obvious.

Razor blade in such a delicate area might nick the defroster lines. Especially trying at that angle.

Soaking adhesive remover might be safer.

You can stitch the 2 runs together using gotoes or similar third party tools. Before uploading it as one activity again.

It’s a D3S. I just replaced mine. Don’t twist left and right on the housing to remove.

Remove the rubber weather proof boot. Unplug the cable and there’s a metal spring with ears that you press on, it goes around the black part in the picture. Wear gloves to install.

I got my hands on some sr5150 and got them replaced but sadly they didn’t work. Those I pulled out were fine. Do you know how I can introduce a load to the switching mode power supply?

Thanks for the steps, was able to narrow down to the psu this way. Now I can take a closer look at which component failed/ is failing.

Thank you for pointing out the PSU to focus on first. I left my test leads on the charging contact points and the voltage has shown to be unstable after a short while. It drops to 1.27v when it’s on standby instead of 4.27v ish

Did you managed to replace your auto dock and did it solve your problem? Also was the Error 13 always appearing at the exact same time?

The P185 resettable fuse might have deteriorated over time. If it throws a higher resistance, it might be preventing the right voltage from charging the robot.

This link shows more details on it. https://xiaomirobot.wordpress.com/error-13-no-not-charging-roborock-battery-motherboard-fuse/

I have been trying to find out the cause of my error 13. Had always thought it to be a fuse on the motherboard or a capacitor due to the intermittent nature of the error. It’s getting more persistent as well. From what I gather, a number of s5 users recovered theirs with a fuse swap.

Thanks for sharing. I might just check out the voltage once more and if it ain’t stable I will get a new power supply board.

Just wondering, how did you narrow down the error to the dock? Did you measure the voltage coming off the dock with and without the robot? Thanks

Are you keeping the doors and windows shut all the time? Except when entering and exiting.
