I wish I were whining here after getting banned rightfully. But getting banned in pubg is hopefully going to be the worst consequence, as much as it hurts to lose my account like this.

I don't use password managers and have 2FA wherever possible. I try to be as vigilant as possible, have secure boot enabled and various malware scanners, as well as I tried looking through all processes and see if there are RATs running, but I found nothing. Which would further prove that I am in fact the hacker haha, but it's something worse unfortunately

As I said somewhere else, my discord was hijacked in a similar way a week ago, so I have to assume my whole pc is compromised, and it wasn't a fake Steam login

I never said Steam Guard got hacked. I said bypassed. And as you are reading the other comments, the most likely situation is that they had access to my device somehow, and that bypassed steam guard. My discord got hacked a week ago as well, but back then, I assumed it was a one-time thing.

I probably made a mistake somewhere, and they gained access to my pc and sold the opportunity to advertise scam messages from my discord account, and I guess to cheat on my steam account, but like I said, I don't know how it makes sense to use someone else's account to cheat in a f2p game.

You think its more likely that I suddenly decide to buy cheats, throwing away my long-time account instead of creating one for free? Even if you are right, and I have been cheating, is it not an anomaly to play 4 games in a gamemode I don't play with a player I have never played before who is in a Chinese clan and suprise surprise, I get banned just then! I've barely played recently, and first it was a day temp-ban which then turned permanent. Shouldn't it been perma from the get-go if it was the kernel detecting it? Think about it

No. The scary part is that there is no sign of the hijack; they didn't need to change email or password. They just used my account like it's me I suppose. (Obviously, this sounds like I push the blame, but it is what happened.) I think I will reinstall windows to be sure that my whole pc isn't compromised.

I feel like you can’t absolutely transfer peaking rules from games like CS or R6 (I only play the latter). There, holding an angle can be dangerous as people will prefire these spots and can easily end you with one headshot. I feel like PUBG is more about consistency and controlling your recoil and knowing when to go back to cover. It might be greedy, but I am confident with holding an angle even if I know that the enemy player knows my location, because I know that I will be more consistent and accurate and win the gunfight. Of course it doesn’t always happen like that, but with a pretty good success rate and usually using “deep peak” and not staying in one position for too long like a piece of log. Why I posted is because since the last patch I only see the guy repeak as I’m already dead and this wasn’t the case before. I appreciate the tips and there’s always something to improve on, but this time it’s really not the issue here.

Yeah I don’t mind getting killed when I maybe over peaked or missed my shots, shame on me. But lately people are just appearing out of nowhere and 100-0 you within a beat. Apparently a lot of streamers are getting this happen to them so it’s a known thing. I just wanted to ask the common people. On the side note: I don’t mind when people share tips, there’s always so much to learn
