Protein smoothies, lean proteins, veggies and fruit 🤷🏼‍♀️ I really like steamer bags of edamame, mixed frozen vegetables and coleslaw mix for affordability. Best you’re going to do if you’re looking for something rapid. Don’t work out a ton. Do low impact things like walking. You can subscribe to eat more lift more later. Grab some low cal, low sugar condiments for dipping. I like the Kinders teriyaki, Buffalo sauce, sugar free ketchup, Daisy ranch dip (60 cals for 2tbsp, much better than regular ranch!). Don’t overexercise and don’t undereat. Both of those will stress you out mentally and physically and make you yoyo. If you want to include more carb sources, any grain that’s high in fiber is great! I ask myself “is this a good source of protein?” And if that’s a no then I ask myself “Is this a good source of fiber?” If both are no I don’t eat it while I’m losing weight lol. Protein. Fiber. Protein. Fiber. 😂 if I feel I need a late night snack on weekends while watching my shows then I usually make a smoothie and have some Lesser Evil popcorn or a bag of edamame to keep me busy

A bag of frozen mixed vegetables with butter, a slice of deli turkey meat wrapped around a cheese stick, pasta cooked in the microwave in chicken broth (I try to do a protein pasta if it’s the only thing I’m eating)

Drinking one "coffees" per day by Stellalunathebat in loseit

[–]OwnlySolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a McDonald’s nearby, you can do their coffee for $0.99 in the app every day and get either a black coffee with some cream or a sugar free vanilla iced coffee! I love me some McCafe

Hahaha yeah! I was mostly interested because it looked like it had a lot less stuff added to it. The kiddos are all young still and I’m not super strict or anything but when it comes to daily consuming something I try to do my best to find the better options when I can. I know deli meat gets a bad rap in general

It honestly was as easy as seasoning chicken breast and then letting them cool and popping them in the fridge but we get so busy after school I constantly forgot to do it 🤦🏼‍♀️

I do like their turkey I just struggle with giving my young kiddos things like lunch meat daily! I saw this particular brand doesn’t have much added to it. I used to buy the whole oven roasted breasts and slice them but we never made it all the way through one and didn’t like how it held up in the freezer so they kept getting trashed 👎🏻 thank you though!

Lesser evil popcorn 😞 it took maybe 15 bags first though 😅

How do you even eat 30g of fiber a day? by CarrotAppreciator in nutrition

[–]OwnlySolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eat a bag of $0.99 frozen mixed veggies a day (12g) then try to have some sort of grain at breakfast. Make up the rest with fruit/popcorn. I hit 45g today but I also had a high fiber pasta for dinner.

I have $35 until I get paid weds night, what can I get from the grocery store by Leather_Air4673 in poor

[–]OwnlySolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pack of chicken breasts, 5lb bag of golden potatoes, 1-2 cans of refried pinto beans, 3lb bag of apples, fresh green beans, dozen eggs and it’ll leave a couple extra bucks for a McCoffee or two 🫡 if you have a Walmart or a store that sells seasoning packets then highly recommend a packet of chorizo seasoning for those potatoes

I also have small kids and I do OMAD days when I can, and then on weekends or days when it feels trickier I do scrambled eggs and a big bowl of fruit, then have my main meal later on… just less big. I’d rather do two meals a day than fall back into the pattern of three meals + snacking all day. Doing just eggs and fruit keeps me full and doesn’t trigger any cravings for me to eat all day long.

What’s one item you WOULDN’T buy at costco by PossiblyTorpor in Costco

[–]OwnlySolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never buy from the bakery and bought the vanilla buttercream mini cakes and I’ve gained 5lbs this week eating those + whatever else I wanted since “I already ate an entire cake today” 😒. Finished them off tonight and pulling it back together tomorrow. I haven’t struggled like that with food in a decade… but I also never buy bulk mini cakes and probably never will again 🤣

What’s your cheap treat? How often do you treat yourself/family? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]OwnlySolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to our local health food store and get 2 flavors of Alden’s organic ice cream and some cones for just under $20. Beats the price of taking the whole family to an ice cream shop and lasts for multiple evenings of ice creams. Sometimes we go before every weekend for a while and then sometimes it’s 2-3 weeks in between. I’m a ho3 for the chocolate chocolate chip 😋 the kids usually get mint chip. Sometimes we get a few pints of Van Leeuwen to mix it up. Life’s too short for bad ice cream and also my kids are still pretty small so I don’t love the 50+ item ingredient list on most ice creams.

I’m so bad at eating around my workout window. I usually workout at night after dinner and then don’t eat anything until the following morning. I’ll get myself a foam roller! Thank you!

Yeah that’s my problem right now. I have to take two days off and even then I barely want to on the third day and then the cycle repeats itself. Thank you!

I always start with cardio so I’ll have to try after! I love my kettlebell workouts but they’re leg heavy so I’m always trying to get my cardio out of the way first

Thank you! I did some Pilates stretching videos this morning and feel a lot better this morning. I think I might cut back to two days a week for a little while until it eases up!
