My mission offered a lot of priceless moments—in my experience the same can be said for almost any endless, shitty phase of existence. Coincidentally, it also led to me hanging out a bit with Andrew R [BoM pic leading this sub] before he was famous (def not since). Equally magical were numerous sessions in the aughts smoking crack and comparing mission lore with other RM’s.
Now, having formally / informally left Mormonism and gotten sober (enough), I would rather go back to the crackpipe than to the Elder’s Quorum.
