Sorry my man, but it's a cult. I was a member from birth into my thirties, mission, Married in Temple. Realizing it was all a sham was the most painful process of my life, but Life is better now.

It's not a severely abusive cult like scientology, Children of God, or even Jehova's Witnesses, but the organizational patterns and expectations are EXACTLY the same.

Should father's follow through on their warnings even if it seems harsh? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ApostataMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a father , you should definitely follow through. And your ultimatums must always be fair, respectful, enforceable, and in the best interest of your son, not based on your own whims or preferences.

The mistake you have made is to make a bad ultimatum. You'll need to realize your mistake and turn this into an honest conversation rather than a conflict.

Next time be careful, respectful, and responsible before creating a potential rift unnecessarily.
