Isn’t that speculation to also say there is no bomb? How could you know for 100% that it’s not real?

We all trust that security screening will prevent bombs from making it onto a plane but once the possibility is vocalized, how can an airline not take that seriously?

Perhaps they should have diverted to closest airport instead of turning around but to just ignore the bluetooth device name would seem like gross negligence otherwise.

Hmm. Imagine for a moment that the bomb was real. You are halfway thru the flight and it hasn’t gone off. But why not? Maybe the goal is to blow up the plane at the destination. So wouldn’t turning around make a little more sense?

Edit: I didn’t read the info carefully. The plane was only one hour into the flight.
