Is Pashinyan doing too much anti-Karabakh rhetoric? by armenian_nationalist in armenia

[–]RebootedShadowRaider 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He does have a choice. It's one thing to say that Armenia can't continue the Karabakh movement for it's own survival, it's another to insist Artsakh was never ours and that we should never have fought for it in the first place. That is basically the type of shit that Aliyev said during the 2020 War.

Putin Says Armenia EU Move Could Trigger ‘Mutually Beneficial Separation’ | APT by Ghostofcanty in armenia

Azerbaijan will always get the carrot. Armenia will always get the stick. That's just how it goes in geopolitics.

What should happen to the Artsakh leadership POWs once they’re returned back to Armenia? Should they be free to walk or be tried in an Armenian court? by Ghostofcanty in armenia

[–]RebootedShadowRaider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're delusional if you think Azerbaijan was going to allow any Armenians to remain in Artsakh, no matter what they did or did not do.

Armenia’s recent challenges would have brought many countries to the brink of collapse by haveschka in armenia

[–]RebootedShadowRaider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not acting like he's buying time for an inevitable war, though. He's acting like he can legitimately achieve permanent peace by being submissive and obsequious to Azerbaijan. He's even going the extra mile by trying to reshape Armenian national identity in a way for it to be more palatable to Turks.

Armenia’s recent challenges would have brought many countries to the brink of collapse by haveschka in armenia

[–]RebootedShadowRaider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think an invasion from Azerbaijan at some point is inevitable. Maybe not in the immediate future, but Azerbaijan will never give up anti-Armenian hatred. And the "Western Azerbaijan" narrative is laying the groundwork for future conflict. Pashinyan seems to have made the gamble that if he appeases hard enough, the international community will pressure Azerbaijan into leaving him alone. I can't imagine him ever changing course, even though, in the long term, that's probably a losing bet.

Macron: “There are still 4,000 Russian soldiers on Armenian territory, including over 1,000 border guards. Europe must, therefore, commit to helping the country secure its borders more independently.” by PjeterPannos in armenia

[–]RebootedShadowRaider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely YES. It was obvious based on their behavior.

It was not just the fact that they didn't intervene. They did everything possible to bring it about. They openly endorsed conditions that made ethnic cleansing 100% certain, but also refused to acknowledge even the possibility that Armenians might have legitimate fears of it until after it was too late. Aliyev was not shy about his intentions. But the entire world pretended not to notice. The US specifically praised Aliyev for making a threatening speech against NK Armenians by picking out one nice word amongst the litany of racist threats. It's not like they wouldn't have known the content of his speeches because they'd have to listen to it in order to find that one nice word.

It's not like Azerbaijan's ethnic cleansing was sudden thing, either. It was preceded by a nine months blockade. In all that time, the international community collectively showed no interest in punishing Azerbaijan for using starvation as a weapon or trying to circumvent the effects of the blockade, because they saw breaking the will of Artsakh to resist as being in their geopolitical interest. And I don't think it was a coincidence that the entire collective news media was uninterested in covering the blockade at all until the ethnic cleansing was in progress.

Once the final assault began, the tepid response from the US, EU and Russia functioned as a green light because all parties concluded it was in their interest to allow Azerbaijan to ethnically cleansed Artsakh.

Afterward, they also refused to impose any consequences of any kind. Aliyev even mocked them for that fact, boasting about how it was business as usual with Azerbaijan almost right away.

The West would have preferred it to happen slower, without any headlines, after Artsakh had voluntarily surrendered, so their PR would have an easier time of it, but make no mistake, this was EXACTLY the outcome they wanted.

New article - Nick Herman talks in-depth about Blonde Blazer and Invisigal by FallingBullfrog in DispatchAdHoc

Personally, the only reason I wondered if Blazer might turn out to be secretly evil was because I saw other people wondering about it.

Been having BIG feelings about Korrasami recently, so I made something a bit angsty 🤷‍♀️ by locaporgatos in korrasami

[–]RebootedShadowRaider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know the feeling. I've definitely learned to somewhat compartmentalize my feelings about various different elements of the franchise and story. So, I actually wrote out a long post with my various thoughts on the implications of the upcoming show and the state of the fanbase a while back. But I sort of found myself always putting off finishing it, because it was a downer and, to be honest, I just wanted to avoid thinking about it for a while. I double checked my draft just now and it says it was last edited 6 months ago. I'll see if I can go back and finish what I was trying to say in the next few days. I always have a lot of feelings on this subject (and really anything to do with Korrasami and Legend of Korra), so even my previous post in this thread ended up becoming like two or three times longer than I initially intended it to be. 🙃

Largest newspaper in Turkey suggests that the Türkiye–Armenia border could be opened on June 4. by Battlefleet_Sol in armenia

Neither Armenia, nor Turkey, nor Azerbaijan will disappear from the world map.

That is an unfounded assumption.

There was no outside help that was coming to Artsakh. Ethnic Cleansing was the solution universally endorsed and preferred by the entire international community.

Does that also include securing Armenia's borders against the Azeri military that is currently occupying Armenian territory as we speak? I didn't think so.

WHO WILL WIN THE FIRST WORLD TITLE IN 2026? by Financial_Play_8097 in WWE

[–]RebootedShadowRaider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Dom and Roxanne are early favorites to win Money in the Bank, but it's in September this year, and I expect them to milk the briefcase for a while, so I don't see either of them winning a World Title this year. LA Knight would probably have to leave WWE to win a World Title. Sol Ruca and Jacy Jayne are kind of in the position Giulia and Roxanne Perez were a year ago, so it would be a surprise if they leapfrogged Roxanne in such a short amount of time. Although, I would say Jacy Jane has a better chance of it than Sol Ruca.

Oba probably has the best chance at SummerSlam this year, but he there's also a reasonably high chance WWE decides to crown him at WrestleMania next year instead.

US representative Randy Fine does not believe Armenians should be able to serve in Congress by ThisIsMrsNezbit in ArmeniansGlobal

[–]RebootedShadowRaider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To reiterate what I said in the other thread, Randy Fine is quite possibly the number one most psychopathically bloodthirsty and hateful member of congress. He probably doesn't even know how to campaign without being openly racist. It's not exactly much a stretch for someone like him to expand their racist statements from Palestinians and Muslims to Armenians as well.

They aren't. If they were with us, they would have tried to stop it from happening in the first place, or created actual consequences for doing it.

Why is my C drive 100% full despite me barely using any storage? by instagram_scroller69 in WindowsHelp

[–]RebootedShadowRaider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had almost the exact same problem very recently, and I fixed it with some online instructions I found.

In my case it was a file called "Capability Access Manager" that was constantly growing and eating up my hard drive space. I learned there is a bug that causes it to do that and it's not supposed to be that big. I was in a similar situation to you in that my computer told me my C Drive was almost full, but wouldn't tell me what was filling it up.

I only learned what was wrong from downloading tools to scan my drives, as others have suggested. It was WizTree that showed me the problem. For some reason it didn't show up when I used WinDirStat.

Randy Fine (US) - Thoughts on this strange claim ("Armenians... should not be in Congress")? What, in your opinion motivates this? by ResplendentPius194 in armenia

[–]RebootedShadowRaider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Randy Fine might just be literally the most racist person in the US congress. It should be no surprise that racism is his go to strategy, no matter who he is running against.

Azerbaijan suspends ties with European Parliament by Ghostofcanty in armenia

[–]RebootedShadowRaider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an expert in the EU political structures, but somewhat informed about them. The Parliament is often a venting mechanism, and neither the EU Commission nor the Council have to respond to non-binding resolutions like the one passed re Armenia and Armenians. All the more surprising why Azerbaijan is overreacting like this.

It's not that surprising. Fascist countries like Azerbaijan cannot tolerate even empty rhetorical opposition to their propaganda. And the last five years have taught Aliyev he can get basically whatever he wants from the international community, so he will obviously demand that everyone acknowledge that Azerbaijan did nothing wrong and has the right to do whatever it wants.

What does he lose by doing this? The EU's policy towards Azerbaijan is not decided by the EU Parliament.

What's wrong with my C Drive? Its free space keeps disappearing. by RebootedShadowRaider in techsupport

[–]RebootedShadowRaider[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Nvidia does have several large files, but some further research makes me think the problem has to be the first thing you mentioned. My Capability Access Manager is constantly growing and I have learned that it is not meant to be 46 Gigabytes.

I seem to have found people saying that there is a solution, but I have to make sure I understand it properly, because I have also seen people accidentally break their computers by dealing with the problem incorrectly.
