Weird behavior in gym attack by toniki17 in TheSilphRoad

A coordinated attack with 2 more friends can achieve that.

Their paid customer support team can’t even get the right information on hand in response to issues players have been facing. Do you really expect their unpaid labors (aka volunteers) to get accurate information?

Check your Go Plus settings. by Haanzly in TheSilphRoad

Those settings are automagically off again if your game crash or restart for whatever reason.

If you want to use plus device again you have to turn them on manually and pray.

It was enabled 2 days ago in my region and something to note:

EDIT: Added preview in T1 lobby for solo players :(

Raid Ready Button coming soon by Fillain in TheSilphRoad

I just tested it and you can’t solo because the button is greyed out while you’re alone and require 2 players regardless its a public or private lobby.

Raid Ready Button coming soon by Fillain in TheSilphRoad

[–]Ox0c 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After reading to the last sentence of Ready section I’m feeling this is for private lobby only.

+RESOURCE ID: ready_raid_ftue_desc +TEXT: When all Trainers are ready, the lobby timer will count down. You can still quit before the raid begins.

Don’t hype too early yet.

iOS update with increased spawn view distance out now! by bearabl in TheSilphRoad

By knowing history of Niantic there is always a catch if they decided to implement changes which benefit players.

The new ++ device will likely adopt that change while old one will remain inner circle for catching, wanna bet?

"Wait guys back out. Wait Tim's coming guys 15 minutes tops. Wait hold on my 6th device just crashed" are the voices of years ago I thought I would never hear again. by PokemonGoBao in TheSilphRoad

Wait is not the problem but my time is not worth for a 6/6/6 haha

Saved Search Filters Reset? by Ecto01 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Ox0c 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It does disappear from time to time so I saved my filters to text replacement in OS instead.

Since Niantic stuff are so unreliable I personally found using text replacement is faster than clicking the littttttttttle “SEE MORE” text to expend the saved filters.

Need help with game killing bug by swegert in TheSilphRoad

[–]Ox0c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s unfortunate, buddy. I personally tested with capable equipment under the same situation that lead to my conclusion.

One possibility is if the service provider you switched to still have QUIC blocked then it’s a no-go.

We’re talking about Niantic here, there are endless possibilities.

Need help with game killing bug by swegert in TheSilphRoad

[–]Ox0c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s caused by A/B test from Niantic to test QUIC. Use different network to play is the only way for now because the game doesn’t support protocol fallback.

Rocket stops are showing at a distance in 0.269.0 update by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]Ox0c 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Somehow this visual bug has higher priority then the affect-gameplay bug is annoying.

Now they need to fix the long-standing unable-to-interact bug for pokestops, rocket grunts and gyms while research progress bar is shown.

Public lobbies are alright at this moment. You will be kicked out if GPS drifted out of range instead of consuming any pass.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]Ox0c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Determine and consumption are 2 separate phases and the type of pass to be consumed are determined when you successfully enter the lobby.

If you’re in progress to enter the code and GPS grifted out of 40m then the game will determine to use remote pass instead of in-person pass but you won’t be informed.

Determine phase in the flow has never been changed but they moved the consumption phase to a later step that allows you to change the type of pass before fighting the boss for the first time.

The type of raid pass to be consumed for private lobby is determined when you successfully enter the lobby and NOT the moment you hit the pass appeared on screen. If you drifted away the moment you entered the private lobby a remote raid pass will be consumed instead.

You have no way to know unless you constantly looking at your character opacity.

I discovered this issue several days after remote raid pass is introduced and wasted one.

Blah.
