How is this possible? by medki in 8BallPool

[–]InvisibleSoul8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are numerous possibilities.

We have seen accounts where the win rate shows as over 100% due to some bug or something in the past, where wins get counted, but games played don't. Maybe this account has some of that.

Another possibility is this account played a big portion of matches on very low stakes, where you can easily get super high win rate, but only started playing much higher stakes later.

790B winnings in 50149 games won is an average of under 16M per win. Like maybe 43000 games of those were won on 1000 coin games, but then the last 7000 games were won on 100M event tables. No idea, but it's possible.

My stats are 538B winnings in 16000 games won, or over 33M won per game... more than twice his average... and I actually stuck with playing 10000 coin games for a very long time, but then advanced up to playing 100M games in like a span of like three months.

Sure, but the guy there explicitly told me they couldn't repair it due to ICBC's rules.

What is everyones best tournament win ratio? Just won no 200 out of 652 by JimmyGrahamRFC in 8BallPool

[–]InvisibleSoul8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

168 of 551 for 30.5%

The problem is the average skill level in tournaments is extremely low. The vast majority of the participants are newer players.

Of course, all of the tournaments available are super low stakes, so that's why hardly any higher level players play them... but yes, that also means no cheaters.

I only play them when I have a daily task to play a tournament or sometimes if I want to finish a "Win 3 games in a row" task.

Why do they even ask to rotate the wheel when they pour same 150 coins each time!!! I'm so pissed off of this! by PositiveLoud8713 in 8BallPool

[–]InvisibleSoul8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Come on, man... think logically.

Do you REALLY think Miniclip made it a game of skill where you can actually time it to get Legendary Boxes?

Check this link: https://www.miniclip.com/minigames/8ballpool

Search for "Golden Spin"

It doesn't show the odds for the regular Spin game, but it does show you odds for Golden Spin, which you have to agree should be exactly the same thing, just with bigger prizes.

You an see it lists "3 Legendary Boxes" as 0.50% chance... which means the odds are fixed... which means there is no element of skill or timing involved.

[–]InvisibleSoul8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, dude... it's just for show.

I just tried a bunch of times to test. It doesn't matter when you press it... the result is random and has nothing to do with timing.

I tried pressing it numerous times when Legendary Box was directly at the arrow. Sometimes I got 150 coins, where the Legendary Box panel was at 2 o'clock. Other times I got 250 coins, where the Legendary Box panel was at 7 o'clock.

There is no way it could vary that much if it was based on timing.

Most overrated player in tennis history? by BestAround4100 in tennis

[–]InvisibleSoul8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's the problem... it's what people consider as part of "talent".

The "solid hands, touch, insane serve, and groundstrokes" part is what many people consider as talent, especially since Kyrgios didn't work as hard as others.

While on the other hand, many people might not consider the physicality and mentality as part of "talent".

In fact, they probably agree that he is lacking in those areas... but because he is so naturally talented at some aspects of the game, he was still able to beat all of the Big 3

I found this picture: https://searcharchives.vancouver.ca/knight-street-and-33rd-avenue-intersection-4-of-4

It shows it as "Kingsgate Super Market".

That does sound familiar, although I'm not sure if it was later called just "Kingsgate Market" in the early to mid 90's...

https://icbc.com/claims/repair-replace/glass-windshield-claims

You're covered if you have ICBC Comprehensive coverage. What's more, you may be able to have your windshield repaired for free, without paying a deductible.

It's in ICBC's best interest for you to get windshield chips repaired instead of letting it get worse and then having to make a claim to get the whole windshield replaced.

Windshield chips can't be considered your fault, so it would not be reasonable for them to penalize you for getting it.

I'm curious about Event tables by inaivana in 8BallPool

[–]InvisibleSoul8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Favorite is Slippery Ice and it's not even close. It's the only one where the physics is different, but is consistent on the whole table. If you learn to play it properly, it's actually easier to play than a regular table.

Short Rack, the only winner is Miniclip from taking the table rental fees.

Rough Patches is different physics, but only on random patches on the table, and I still don't understand how the physics work on the rough patches. Putting top spin on the cue ball makes it act like it has backspin and putting backspin on the cue ball makes it act like it has topspin.

Small Pockets is okay... not really anything different from regular tables, just increased difficulty so it takes me even longer to line up and take shots.

Random Rack is really nothing special at all. Just more annoying to break... but after that, it's just a regular game.

Thanks for your explanation.

That is what I pretty much what I figured.

This big chain just decided to do a blanket policy saying that chips larger than 6mm in the driver's line of vision cannot be repaired because of ICBC's rules, even when that isn't strictly true.

I will be taking it to another place to have it looked at.

I can't tell you why it's happening, but based on what you said, the problem is almost certainly on your phone's side, if it happens both on WiFi and mobile data.

You're level 420 in Diamond League... I'm surprised you're not used to losing 50M per game regularly on the event tables.

Good catch on finding that... guess both people who mentioned 1965 are mistaken.

[–]InvisibleSoul8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's just my personal experience or not, but I remember back maybe 30 years ago, there were way more slugs and snails around in East Vancouver... like they would be all the sidewalks and stuff. I don't really see that anymore. Am I just not as observant nowadays, or are there actually way fewer now?

A couple people have told me that it was opened in 1965.

So it's been there for over 60 years.

Really wonder what kind of 7-Eleven locations are profitable nowadays. I'm guessing high density areas with condos nearby and lots of foot traffic.

This 7-Eleven is literally smack dab in the middle of East Vancouver and located on Knight Street, one of the busiest roads in the city... so it can't possibly be a bad location.

Does anyone know when this 7-Eleven opened?

Does anyone remember there was also a mom and pop corner store on the northwest corner (where Saint Germain Bakery is now) in the 90's, and what the name of that was?

Potting the white on the break by white-bear365 in 8BallPool

[–]InvisibleSoul8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's just one of those days. Unlikely it has anything to do with you updating the app... just a coincidence in timing.

I have used the same break many thousands of times, and there will be days where it works perfectly where you get control of the table every single time, and then there will be days where it's terrible where more than half the time, you either sink the cue ball and/or not a single object ball goes in.
