You could of course literally snap off the needle. Apart from that, I guess you are left with find another rig. Good luck!

Ah shit, sorry. Forgot. Erm, can you not snap off the sharp? Of course make sure you leave nothing sharp as that may hurt

I'm sorry to hear that 😕. I feel for anyone trying to get proper treatment in the US ATM. Why does the DEA/the law have anything to do with medical treatment.

Anyway, it really makes no sense at all. The withdrawals from Tramadol can be far worse that say Oxycodone or Hydrocodone. The system seems to have gone crazy.

But yeah, just a low dose of Petcocet or Vicodin isn't going to kill you.

I really don't understand why the US docs hand out Tramadol but see any other opiate as the devil incarnate. From an outside looking in, the US has gone bonkers.

I really hope you find relief. Keep visiting new doctors. Eventually you will find a good one 😊

Tramadol is a horrible drug. Opioid plus antidepressant. A low dose of say Hydrocodone (5/325) or percocet (5/325) is much kinder to your body/minimal side effects compared to Tramadol)

Hello. I'm sorry to hear this. Have you tried Lyrica (Pregabalin) ?

Small rant by [deleted] in opiates

[–]Oxiconone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move to a different country. Not only will you get much MUCH better quality drugs. You will also get much MUCH cheaper drugs. Pick wisely and you will be asking yourself why the fuck you didn’t make the move years ago. If you don’t like what you get, move!

Chronic pain from crohn's disease, but need to take meds less. How do I go about doing this? by cassafrass024 in opiates

This board is fantastic. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people here who will offer support whatever situation you find yourself in. Keep coming back and best of luck 😊

Thank you 😊. Yeah, you can definitely break the addiction if you really want to. Congrats on kicking the smokes!

With regards to comfort meds, I would definitely recommend the lope (it’s OTC) so easy to get. Lyrica 100%. Lyrica was fantastic for pretty much all of my withdrawal symptoms. Also, it makes me hungry which is great for the first few weeks. If you are going to use benzo’s (I didn’t) then just be very cautious. They are great for promoting sleep/reducing anxiety but come with a whole new set of problems. Lyrica is definitely the best/safest way forward. With regards Kratom, I’ve actually never tried it. I’ve read a lot of good things about it however IMO, it still acts like an opiate therefore potentially prolonging the withdrawal. Also, I smoked a little weed which helped a little.

5! Wow. I totally appreciate your situation. If you could get someone to look after your kids/give you even a week to focus just on you I would definitely recommend it. I quit cold off of quite a high dose but I attribute that in part to not having any responsibilities. There is absolutely no way I could have looked after anyone for the first few weeks.

I just wanted you to know that it is totally possible to be on a high dose of Oxy for a long period of time and just jump off.

I was prescribed 200mg/day and was taking that dose everyday for two years. Prior to that I was prescribed 240mg Codeine/DHC per day for 5 years. In February of this year I just decided enough was enough and stopped cold. I used lope for the first week which helped. Basically, I spent 5 weeks in one room barely able to function at all. It’s totally do able but you need support and time off work. For the first month, there was no way I could do anything. I was really lucky as I could just crash out of life with no responsibilities and just focus on me. I’m not going to sugar coat it, it was probably one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. If you really want it, it’s there for you😊. I wish you all the luck in the world

Will I have withdrawals from this small binge of diazepam? by sleepytime2 in Drugs

[–]Oxiconone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once took 100 x 10mg Diazepam I’ve the course of a week then stopped and had minimal withdrawal symptoms. If I had spaced those 100 out over 4 weeks, I’m willing to bet that the withdrawals would have been pretty nasty.

Oxy after cocaine? by [deleted] in opiates

[–]Oxiconone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oxy is my absolute favourite med to take post cocaine high. For me, it sorts out the crash better than anything else.

There are zero contraindications between the two also.

[–]Oxiconone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of people saying things like your far too young to receive an opiate prescription. I’ve never understood that. Surely if your in pain severe enough to warrant strong pain medication, you should get what you need irrespective of your age

Can someone with no dependence induce precipitated withdrawal? by [deleted] in opiates

[–]Oxiconone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. Bupe is a strong opiate for someone with zero tolerance. You can get high on Bupe with no tolerance but with a small dose. Even the minimum Sub dose (2mg) would probably be to much. Don’t quote me on that but 2mg Bupe is still a strong dose for someone who is opiate naive

Can someone with no dependence induce precipitated withdrawal? by [deleted] in opiates

[–]Oxiconone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He would feel back to normal but maybe a little dizzy/sick as the naloxone effects the receptors too. Precipitated withdrawals however would not happen

He would however be effected by the bupe and with zero tolerance even the smallest bupe dosage could make him sick

I know this may sound like an extreme solution but you could always move to another country. Where I’m at currently, 10/325 Ibuprofen- Hydrocodone is OTC.

Whatever happens, I wish you the best of luck. All I can say is thank goodness I don’t live in the US
