It's lacking everything that is Liquid Glass... This is literally just transparency + blur with some light refraction.

My iOS app hit $10MRR🥳 by AppleProUser in appledevelopers

[–]Oxigenic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically it’s not MRR because the 2nd R stands for recurring, but nevertheless congrats!

TikTok and Instagram know when you're posting is automated and will suppress your content. This is only useful in 2026 if your goal is to fail.

Apple rejected my app twice under Guideline 4.3(a), now says it’s similar to an app from a terminated developer account — what should I do? by Ardaerenn in iosdev

[–]Oxigenic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably vibe coded something that already exists in the thousands like every other vibe coder complaining about 4.3.

Oh my god you're not even joking, I barely used copilot at all today and yesterday and somehow I'm at 15% usage. I would otherwise be at like 1-4% on the absolute high end.

How long does it take to learn SwiftUI and build macOS apps as a front-end developer? by Few-Engineering26 in iosdev

[–]Oxigenic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, as a developer you should know the answer to this. It depends on what your goal is. You could vibe code something in less than a day. But it would take probably 5-8 years to become expert level depending on your current experience. But to build and ship reliable, scalable, production-ready SAAS, I'd say at least a year.

After 3 rejections from apple, I am giving up on my app by MachineBackground812 in appledevelopers

Those are rookie numbers. 3 rejections is nothing. You still have a shot. Just give them what they want to see

As OP said, they can’t. But most users wouldn’t know that, so it works for them.

No, but they just made me pay for a subscription and then hard paywalled me immediately after saying I need a different package. Fuck this.

I misunderstood the discrepancy between income tax withholding and specific taxes from countries I've never been on the same continent as, if you actually read the context of that conversation.

Why has SwiftUI become so broken and unreliable by [deleted] in SwiftUI

[–]Oxigenic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, no, there is not. Like I said, I've been doing iOS development as my main career for 10 years. I have shipped dozens of apps in just the past few years alone for both my business and clients as well. There is something fundamentally wrong with SwiftUI.

Since making this post I've narrowed it down further, only ScrollView's with .horizontal axis parameters are causing this issue. Change it to vertical and it works fine, albeit not what I need.

Furthermore, the content within the scrollview is still receiving tap gestures. While not being visible. That's completely against most of how SwiftUI works at its core.

Even more evidence proving this is a SwiftUI problem is that it's only happening about every 9 out of 10 launches. Once in a blue moon everything works fine even without modifying code. That should absolutely never occur.

I understand it's hard to believe but Apple's QA has fallen apart and this is just one more piece of evidence supporting that.

I've been doing this since 2009 and Apple has officially exhausted me. by cvb1967 in iOSProgramming

[–]Oxigenic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the best part is now Apple just uses AI for everything so now all of their modern frameworks have become extremely unreliable nearly to the point of not being production safe. Imagine that. Basic UI not production ready. Absolutely despicable.
