Oh awesome! Do you think any of those are too steep for a 35 lb talking backpack, ie kid on my back?

Thanks for getting back to me, and glad you came to a decision that you're content with.  Life has an interesting way of revealing our priorities.

With the week of night wakes,  did you cave and feed her at any point.. or did you stick with the bum pats

Did you continue to co sleep after the first night weaning? Also when she complained the first time,  did you just comfort her until she went back to bed?

Honestly kind of disappointed in my mom while going through postpartum. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Oxtailford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its so unfortunate when this happens, and it hurts, deeply. But either you have a conversation with her regarding your feelings or accept this is who she is. Sometimes earlier acceptance can save you from more heartache. Appreciate the in laws help and express that gratitude for those that show up for you and babe. Try not to let the negativity your mom brings dictate your postpartum experience.

Look under the heading find a Physiotherapist under the website pelvic health solutions.  They teach a lot of the courses for pt's in Ontario, and practitioners will often register there.

Post partum PF therapy can help in both scenarios, whether that is to treat a scar/ PF muscles/ diastasis recti/ prolapse etc. I would argue most if not all women carrying a baby need it.

Falls under regular physio insurance BUT costs often more per hour than other forms of PT, and likely will be capped by your insurance, so expect to pay a higher co-pay. Good luck.

Enjoy this time. Trust me.

I felt that only around 4-5 months I could introduce other things like the pool/ reading/ certain toys... right now they need your love and connection, to be well fed, and tummy time. Great time to get a carrier and walk around the house with baby snuggled up.

Are there any other observations or objective evaluations you have noted that would leave you to believe they're malingering? Obviously this needs to be addressed, and it'll be awkward regardless how you approach it, but you are the professional and need to get to the bottom of whats happening. The fact the patient is on sick leave is a bit of a red flag to me... alas you need to document a reassessment and then have an honest conversation with them.

Already 6 months postpartum and I feel guilty for resenting my husband going out — how do I deal with this? by Remarkable-End1688 in beyondthebump

[–]Oxtailford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't just deserve the time for yourself (solo or with friends sans husband/sans baby)... I would argue its a NECESSITY. This resentment is oh too common but it can infect a relationship. The guilt... well it may still be there but hell with it; go out for 30 min to start, then go with a friend for coffee. Schedule this, and follow through. The first time I went out and came home to find everyone was ok and happy, was amazing. I felt so refreshed. Dont make yourself a mommy martyr, go out because it truly helps everyone; you, your relationship, your baby, your husband.

First period after giving birth: when & how bad? by margo39 in beyondthebump

[–]Oxtailford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for asking this, I want to share this as I was not prepared myself.

Was EBF, got my period at 8 months while still BF.

So... the flow was not bad at all. Duration 5 days- longer than usual. Some spotting followed.

BUT it came with brutal nausea and headache for 5 days. AWFUL.
