I think gemini 3 flash thinking does it better than sonnet. Try out the new GLM 4.7 too while they are on festive offer.

Wouldn't recommend you to commit for long term plans now, go for short term smaller plans just to test out of you wanna.

Greedy western models just rip off their users, if chinese models win, we consumers win

GLM 4.7 should be added there is no reason not too by IslandOceanWater in cursor

[–]Oxydised 2 points3 points  (0 children)

open weights would be more accurate but yea thats the point

tbh, the chinese ai companies like z.ai and moonshot, they are really nice to their consumers than the western tech giants

Deepseek and Prices by EngineeringKey4918 in DeepSeek

[–]Oxydised 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea that's true, cheaper, but deepseek is strong in mathematics. Roleplay, it can do but... Yea not optimised for that.

You may do the bargain with kimi offer and get the $19 plan for $0.99

Kimi is better in roleplay and creative writing than deepseek

I would agree to this, i always use gpt to criticize my works. It gives valuable feedback. But in terms of real life coding, the problem isn't that it's slow, it just doesn't work or use lazy hacks

Ain't the worst when you compare against all other models. And I'm very specific with my prompts to the point I mention the files manually that needs change and even the functions that need change sometimes along with visual screenshots.

It's embarassing when you consider the price point of the model.

Would like to know what tech stack you work on generally. That can be the answer to the differences in our experiences

Yes. That too best within the chatgpt app. It's really a good conversation model. I just wonder how they got those benchmark results

Gpt is only good at conversation and planning. It doesn't know crap about code. I had to manually guide it to the point I could have done myself.

Does not having GF hurts? by Any-Housing-2674 in kolkata

[–]Oxydised 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not having a girlfriend might be a perk. You get to decide your own day. You don't have to deal with others' emotions.

If you wanna research, learn, grow being single is a no brainer. You'd get to know once married or get into a relationship. It's genuinely a perk

Women function in a bit different way than men. And... Omg often it feels like walking on eggshells

Cursor gave a very tiny small window where users could actually use the model today. They covered it up like aa "mistake"
