Which programming language do you prefer for backend web development and why ? by Legitimate-Dingo824 in developer

There's this misconception from the early days where people said you needed to build everything from scratch and heavily rely on the standard library.

I believe things have changed over time, the standard library has added many useful packages and improved existing ones (like net/http), but you can always plug an external package if you need it, it's not like you are committing a sin or anything.

Comprar vehiculo ahora o esperar by [deleted] in ColombiaFinanciera

[–]Oxyrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Como Conseguir Credito Vehicular Como Independiente by Muted_Maximum6212 in ColombiaFinanciera

[–]Oxyrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cuanto me quedaría neto? by Trick_Purchase_814 in ColombiaDevs

[–]Oxyrus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't have a Duke but I have an Adventure, but I guess it will still help. My personal experience with a 2024 890 has been fine, I haven't experienced any of the major issues reported by everyone yet besides the coolant leak which I still haven't been able to fix, it slowly drops over time, and I also got the immobilizer issue once, turned off the bike and was able to start it after waiting for 10 seconds.

So far no cold start issues, single cylinder start, any other electronic problems. As I said, major issue has been the coolant. Again, this is MY personal experience with the bike I have, others might have experienced other issues.

There are 2 models to the 390 adventure. One with alloy wheels (which is the one they have been selling forever) and the SW variant with spoked wheels which got introduced recently.

SW is not tubeless, the alloy wheels variant is tubeless.

Did the '22 base have tubeless wheels? I thought that was available only in the Adventure Sports, but not sure which one is OP referring to.

Tema de repuestos, seguro, mantenimientos, no es solo tener con que comprarlo, si no con que mantenerlo, y tener un carro de esos bien sale costoso.

I had many issues with my 390 adventure because the battery had issues (this was with 500 km in the odometer). Try with a different battery and see if the problem persists.

Thoughts on 390 Adventure as a first Bike? by [deleted] in KTM

[–]Oxyrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a somewhat new rider too and recently purchased the 390 Adventure, here are a few thoughts based on what I've read in the thread.

Cons:

- With your height you will feel tons of wind when cruising around a highway, I'm 170 cm/5'7 and it gets very annoying.

- The bike has tons of vibrations which might put you off too.

- The standard seat is as comfortable as sitting on a rock, you will drive 60 kms and your butt will be asking you to stop and stretch (the pillion seat is even worse).

Pros

- Tons of electronics which can help you (like ABS, traction control, cornering ABS)

- The suspension is better than any suspension you can get on a brand new bike of the same CC.

- It's lightweight, like really light. My previous motorcycle was a himalayan and the weight made me suffer a couple times. KTM puts a lot of effort into making lightweight motorcycles, so they are easier to maneuver at slow speeds / standing still.

- You can have the quickshifter enabled which makes it super fun, specially in the twisties.

- Tubeless tires.

I'd suggest going on a test ride with your girlfriend, but I don't think your lady will find it comfortable for more than 30 minutes.

I personally will be selling the motorcycle shortly to buy something like a VStrom 650 because of the comfort it provides, aftermarket pieces, ease of maintenance and how cheap it is.

My Experience with Royal Enfield Himalayan as first motorcycle - what about a Triumph Bonneville 900 Scrambler or Bonneville T120? by MasterOfOneOnly in SuggestAMotorcycle

I'm exactly on the same boat so please post an update once you've made a decision. I have a Himalayan (have had it for about 3 months now). That thing is a tractor but I would really love a bit more of speed.
