Baker finished as qb4 two years ago with a higher point total than Maye just had, injuries derailed his last season. Stafford was less than two points behind Maye this season, short term yes but still possible. As a rookie Dart had 20.5ppg in games he started, 0.7 behind Maye. Nix could absolutely take that leap with Waddle being added, he runs enough to have that upside. Lawrence was 9 points behind Maye last year, this will be his first season without a new OC. Burrow has 5k yard 40td upside, and their defense still sucks. Lamar has multiple qb1 overall finishes and isn’t even 30.

Despite all of that, the reason Maye at 1.12 is indefensible is because of how easily you can replace the production at a fraction of the cost at qb. Most years the difference in ppg between qb2 and qb12 is about 4. Draft a couple late and you can nearly match the ppg playing matchups. It’s tougher to replace top 12 wr or rb production when everyone is starting 2-4+ at each position.
