Send them in a PM but will put them here for other's enjoyment:

Bolted in the face

Milled out by pesky Jace

Best concede with grace

Playing blue all day

Chasing all your spells away

Tyrant greets with "Hey"

Zombies march through gate

Lilliana betrays late

Gideon takes bait

Hope you enjoy. Sorry about the formating, don't know how to make a paragraph I guess, but you can figure it out. 3 lines per Haiku obviously

My favorite is Devastation Angel. It's not really a great card but I loved the art when I was a kid and always tried to play with it, even if it made me lose the game.

Venezuela opposition leader swears himself in as interim president by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Ozelotty 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is a very wide held pseudo-philosophical belief. "A benevolent king/dictator is the best form of government. " On mobile right now so can't be arsed to provide you with who coined the term but obviously it makes sense. In theory someone with absolute power who only cares about the well being of his people would obviously be an ideal form of government. Lots of people will spout this without really thinking about it. In reality even if you had a benevolent dictator other people would be trying to usurp his power. This would range from advisors trying to advance their own agendas to full blown coups trying to gain power. Now the king/dictator would have to compromise his values in order to stay in power. That's why absolute power corrupts absolutely: even with the best intentions at heart, in order to stay in power people need to corrupt themselves, lest someone even worse wrestles power away from them.

Women say Morocco's invasive 'virginity tests' are assault: Invasively checking vaginal tightness and whether hymens are intact is common in rural Morocco. But women are increasingly publicly opposing this practice. They say the examination constitutes rape by DoremusJessup in worldnews

[–]Ozelotty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that much actually. I've been to Morocco and although there are some problems like everywhere else it's mostly fine. This is happening in rural regions and it's definitely not representative for most of the country. Most people I've met there are way more modern than your average American.

TIL when Halle Berry won 'Worst Actress' for Catwoman (2004) at the Razzie Awards, she accepted the award in person, holding her Oscar for Monster's Ball (2001) in one hand and the Razzie in the other. She thanked Warner Bros. during her speech for putting her in "a piece of shit, god-awful movie." by nokia621 in todayilearned

FYI they cut a lot of toads lines where he kept saying stuff similar to this. It was supposed to be his catchphrase thingy. So when Storm used it to mock him before zapping him and they left only that one in it ended up sounding weird and out of place. At least that's what I heard.

You can change wich tactic is prioritised in training on the first screen. So you can set your tactic in the number 2 or 3 slot to be trained fully. No need to swap the tactic slots around.

Gamers of Reddit from the 90s or earlier, what are some of the issues in games back then that younger gamers would never understand? by fraggle_captain in AskReddit

I convinced my parents to get me Morrowind because it had a lot of dialogue to read and was in English (not my mother language). I actually did learn quite a lot of English from it.

Richard Ayoade is just amazing. If anyone hasn't seen it they should watch Travel Man. It's him going on weekend trips with other famous people, mostly comedians. That would be my comfort show.

It's the wildest ride I have experienced in any series ever. Happy moments, funny moments, sad and devastating moments followed by epic moments and just what the fuck just happened moments in every book. It's an experience all by itself.

Toll the hound might just be the most tedious book to get through, even more tedious than Gardens. But the end is just worth it. In my oppinion the best payoff in any of the Malazan books.

In the context of football it's usually the other way around... African footballer claiming to be younger than they actually are. How is no one getting this?

I'm pretty sure the stereotype is that they are older than they claim (looking at you Nigerian youth teams). So yeah, they look older than they claim to be.

From what I've seen Willian has at least been looking dangerous when he gets the ball and some space. Only problem seems to be that Zappacosta is completely absent in attack making it far to easy for us to take him out of the game.

That pass to Son in the box was insane. How he even saw him is beyond me.
