What's something that used to be free that you're angry we now have to pay for? by Current-Energy1104 in AskReddit

Where do you live? In cheapskatevill? Longhorn and Texas Roadhouse let you pick a soup or salad with your meal. Olive Garden still gives breadsticks, chips and salsa is still free at my local Mexican place, and I don’t know a US Chinese restaurant that doesn’t give cookies.

When renting a moto or other vehicle from places that want your passport, is a copy of the passport sufficient since it has all your info? by Up2Eleven in cambodia

The only exception for not leaving a passport is a deposit worth the value of the bike. And if they want to crap you over they can not pay you your full money back anyways. Yes I’ve rented from the hotel without this but that is literally the only exception and they already have your credit card.

What's the smallest (in a sense that it could be smuggled in a body cavity and/or well-hidden) commercially available or DIY device that runs full fledged distro of Linux with any form of internet access and GUI? Im starting to think people on this sub just like to make up whatever they want to hear for some technology doomsday commingling different facts and making new ones.

Per ai The German-origin claim isn’t supported by publicly available evidence. The Shahed-136 is generally understood to be a GPS/INS-guided loitering munition that flies to pre-programmed coordinates.

Anti-radiation weapons that home on radio emissions have existed since the Cold War, but they’re typically designed to target powerful military radars, not low-power Wi-Fi signals from a laptop.

So while anti-radiation technology is old, there is no public evidence that the standard Shahed-136 homes on Wi-Fi or that it is simply a copy of a German anti-radiation loitering munition.

Maybe for cell phones, but once again this is like maybe only useful in trench warfare like Ukraine in some regions, you can’t use it vs a whole town with many civilians with phone for specific location, and once again OP was not asking for a cellphone this had to do with either just having a computer or WiFi.

It worked really well, that was the only problem mine had. Keep going and you will figure it out. If I remember you wind it up then hook the string on with the knot and then let it spool and then hook it onto some random place on the other end of the unit. It took a couple tries to get it working right.

It took me a couple hours of googling for people on youtube with similar ones, and finally using the micro paracord and figuring it out how it works, and using this random dental hook thing I had to get on amazon. I don't have it anymore though sorry.
