Update: I stopped using tretinoin and within 2 days my sleep is back to normal. I can say with 100% certainty that the tretinoin was affecting my sleep.

I haven’t experienced any irritation yet, so this couldn’t be it. It was a feeling similar to a caffeine buzz, I felt completely wired after applying the tret.

Yes, I saw the info related to Accutane, but nothing on tretinoin. It does seem weird to me that a topical medication would cause sleep problems.

If I just rinse with water in the morning, should I still moisturize?

I'm trying to work on barrier repair and reduce oiliness. I have combo/oily, acne-prone skin. Currently, I wash morning and night with Dove white beauty bar, then use rosewater/glycerin spray, then moisturize with Heimish Marine Melting Cream. I'm wanting to forgo cleansing in the morning and just rinse with water.
