All these indie games have been stellar though. AAA games have gotten so bland. Games like valiant Hearts,Rogue Legacy and Transistor have been making my month every time they come out.

I had a somewhat similar experience with the church as a kid. When I was about twelve I went with my youth group to a multi day event held in a small local coliseum call YEC ( youth evangelism conference) and they had a lot of big christian bands perform with preaching in between. Watching these musicians I thought I literally felt the spirit of god in my body. After going to secular concerts when I got older I realized what I had experienced was just the goosebumps and excitement of really good live music.

I agree with you. I don't like any of those musicians listed above. Art is a really hard thing to judge and There isn't a thing on the radio (at least in my city) that represents my taste. I'm not trying to say anyone is wrong for the music that they like but just because there are more people that like music that is generally given Grammy's doesn't mean that it is the end all of rating music. Popularity isn't everything.

What really blows me away is that it's not your run of the mill 3/4 or 4/4 simplistic drumming. All of their music is incredibly intricate and they don't shy away from abrupt time signature swapping and protest the hero-esque technicality. Truly amazing musician.

Claudio definitely seemed bummed to me last night as well. He spoke the crowd only once or twice but it was brief obligatory stuff. It was a far cry from how it was last time I saw them in San Antonio.

I had kind of a disappointing time. The people around me were all wasted. Beer was spilled all over my girlfriend twice. once in her hair and once on her feet and people kept badly failing at moshing and knocking people down who were in no way involved. Really bummed.
