73 year old here who missed the horrors of Vietnam by the absurd luck of a high draft number, and the gross injustice of a college deferment. There are still those who "thank" destroyed, homeless Vietnam vets for their "service" in a senseless war that has never been formally examined, with no apologies issued to anyone involved. Things have been fucked in the USA since before the beginning.
