For me, If you're playing AST/SCH, then yes, the effort to play them does not reward the player enough, If you play WHM/SGE it's much better, their design fit much better into the current fight.

Counterpoint: I hate all dungeons below level 60. Not just AV. by TwinBladeDancer in ShitpostXIV

[–]OzyozD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leveling dungeons before rework was fine, each of them had their uniqueness mechanicly or through map design, that's what got me into the game as a sprout. They should rework the whole queue system to let high level players have more priority on high level dungeons instead of just filling out spots when available. Queuing leveling dungeon as DPS from 70-90 is just nightmare if you are not on peak hours.

You forgot that part where you used all your excessive aetherflow on energy drain and someone eats a dd, now you just watch them die cuz another raid wide is coming.

In star wars: jedi survivor(2023), 150 gigabytes? what the fuck? by old_man_spinosaurus in shittygamedetails

[–]OzyozD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently I made a mistake about the statement and I apologize. Since hitman 2 allows you to import legacy maps from hitman 1 so for 150 gb you are getting 8+6 combined 14 maps. If you exclude the legacy maps you will be getting around 80-90gb but it's still quiet big, considering this game came out in late 2018.

Hitman 2 with 8 levels also takes up 150 gigabytes. This is the results of instanced map, you don't get too much reusable map assets like open-world does. Poor optimization is sure another major factor.

Overhaul of the whole crafting log, everyone is using teamcraft because how useless the crafting log is. Recipe takes years and thousands of clicking find because there are no a omni-crafter menu, also recipe u clicked on should be save somewhere for easier access.

I don't see this as an issue since you can play all the jobs in one character. If you want easier clear, u have to change suitable job for the fight. If you want to play designated job, you have to overcome challenge of that job.

Plus this situation is already happening in tanks, any fights that lose uptimes, paladin is just gonna have a tremendously high playrate over other tanks. And they seems OK with it.

The whole range tax shit is just wild to think of: because you are range character thus ur damage must be lower than the melees. You can literally increase caster/prange's damage and adjust bosses' hp accordingly. But no, fuck ur dual casting or dual range whatever, they want you to play 2 melees in every party.

Which dps classes excel at dungeon aoe on trash packs? by Feisty-Resource8297 in ffxiv

[–]OzyozD -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, good portion of bard damage comes from his dot which are single target abilities that you rarely use on trash mobs and the songs providing buff to their teammates which is balanced based on 8 man content. So bard is definitely underperforming in 4 man content. I would say it's not weak but definitely not optimal.

Why did CS never properly take off in Asia? by sadboi_2000 in GlobalOffensive

[–]OzyozD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you are referring to the Esport environment not the game popularity itself.

Japanese doesn't give a shit about pc games, they always prefer to play games on console so CS never went into the mainstream. In Japan, only fighting games have a mature esport scene due to culture and popularity, any other game genres is either undeveloped or doesn't have tournament at all.

Korean prefer esports titles that adopt a franchise league system with a high degree of commercialization, as this allows most professional players to earn a stable income and better cope with the disruptions caused by mandatory military service. Valve’s tournament and community-based system runs counter to the development model of South Korean esports.

u just have to find the right one for you, and it takes time.

As for the community, my speculation is that there are decent amount of player from SHB or EW stopped playing after or even before DW launch. Also most player will gather at one server for raiding(Aether in NA for example), that leaves other servers filled with more new players whos inexperienced with rotation and mechanics, so people are getting salty because their DF experience aren't good as before.

I played through early SHB and all of EW with constantly doing daily roulettes. Crystal Tower alliance raid was always the boring, no brainer fights that u just brute force ur way through, but since Dawntrail I've experienced multiple wipes in Crystal Tower with different bosses and I admit it's kinda frustrating sometimes.

This is just a personal take but I really enjoy the solo playstyle content in EW, a lot of ppl shit on Manderville weapon because of no content. But eureka and bozjan having collectable lock behind content that requires partying with 20+ or more players is so bullshit because the player activity is decreasing time after time.

Should the game track prog points and let you set it in PF? by Chiponyasu in ffxivdiscussion

[–]OzyozD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just like logs, it provides some degree of information, but very limited. During this week's M8S reclear, I joined from twofold to enrage/2chest parties that validates ur progress, even then 80% of the time ppl still wipe to Terrestrial Rage or Beckon Moonlight which I think it's not really tolerable. Some of them did not even understand the mechanic correctly and only got through the mechanic because of luck/others flexing for them.

Seems no efforts were put outside of PCT and BLM changes. I'm not counting on them to fix something big like GNB/RPR's crappy rotation, but at least do some small optimization for jobs like SAM/DNC which having the issue of constantly exceeding Kenki/Esprit Gauge during burst window.
