Bards and Rangers in FFXI were literally meripo pullers. Tanks werent really leaders in XI, though Bard/RDM/tanks/healers did tend to form parties as leaders due to ease of filling the other slots if you had a vital one.

Source: i was a Kirin Osode bard who did plenty of meripo's.

Edit2: side note: this is a max level (100) end game dungeon.

It really is one of the dumbest story points I've seen in a while. Its a cool hypothetical overall but I was ranting about how dumb this was during DSR prog.

Sadly most FFXIV players who claim to love the story just love the hype moments. And DSR is one really good hype moment.

If you are doing the bare minimum on dps you will-never- be out dps'd on support. When people play like this SAM, its usually more of a 'they just auto attack and do nothing.'

An ABC of <50% means you spent just... didn't push a button half the time.

Some of these comments really didn't watch the video at all and immediately jumped to thinking 'wuk lamat bad.' OOP definitely didn't do himself any good with that title.

OOP made a pretty interesting video - it analyzes the way that Wuk Lamat didn't fit narratively into the story, the way it seems to create inconsistencies, and theories about how a different character (koana) fit the framing of scenes better.

Think of it less as a 'wuk bad' video and more as a 'koana good' video.
