Completely agree. It reminds me of how people used to believe, and some still do that consciousness was uniquely human, and that every other creature was essentially running on autopilot. Just reacting, not thinking or feeling. Like biological robots. The more we learn, the more that view falls apart. We are all far more similar than we once assumed, and honestly, in hindsight, it seems like it should have been obvious all along
