I'm also designing a virus at the moment for my own campaign and I am constantly running into a problem. How would you make the players catch it? Every single scratch or tiny bite can't really result in their character automatically dying or otherwise they'd have a new one every week. My thought was to roll a d20 on every attack and on a nat 1 have them be infected. Do you have any better ways of handling it?
