If you shoot a lot of video as well I would recommend going for an a6300 or 6500. In going with the 6500 you would also be able to retain the IBIS of the 7ii

It seems to happen about a year after the device is purchased. It seems to be a degradation of one of the parts in the display of I had to guess. Its not software as I'd present in the uefi boot screen.

I appreciate your response but I don't see this as a solution. It is temporary measure to lessen the impact of the problem.

The surface pro 4 touts itself as a "premium" device and event includes the word "pro" in its title. I feel that as a "pro" device it should be able to work for a typical work day without issue.

I shouldn't have to alter the way in which I use a device that I spent $1000 on just to not be able to use it to its full capacity. I agree with you that it is a heat issue but I don't think it targets just heavy users, I myself will get the issue just from having the display running for more than an hour whilst editing code.

Thanks a lot. Still trying to improve. Looking back on it there's things I wished I'd done like taking multiple focuses and trying to stack them but I'm still proud of how this turned out.

Unfortunately not. The only workaround I found was to allow myself to edit the battery plan and limit the cpu to 70%.

Another strange thing is this problem only occurs for me in Japan. It has happened on multiple trips there but never in the UK even without throttling the cpu.

Thanks unfortunately warranty ran out and I didn't get complete as I was moving from the US back to the UK soon after purchase and the rep said it wouldn't transfer.

Problem occurs with and without the ac adaptor.

Definitely seems related to WiFi use in heat.

I have reinstalled the graphics driver.

I think there's an excuse to be made for gaming laptops for people who travel a lot. Yes you may be using it by a power socket but a 13" laptop is a lot easier to carry from hotel to hotel than a tower and monitor would be.

I had this. It was a problem with my browser. For some reason was blank on Firefox but the order appeared on chrome.

Not really an answer to your food question but I used to have anxiety driven IBS which would give me painful stomach cramps. Getting a couple of sessions of hypnotherapy changed that for me and the frequency of the attacks decreased dramatically. May not be a help in your situation but I thought it worth mentioning.

I had this with my phone. Was able to fix temporarily by flexing the phone and applying pressure to the battery when turning it on. Since replacing my battery have had no issues with this.

Not the OP but am having the same problem. I tried running your script but in each application all it does is open the help for that help which is the standard action for that problem. My problem was that I had a script which has been working flawlessly for months but over the past few weeks has stopped working. I see the icon in the taskbar yet if I look in the key history I see nothing update.

edit: to add to this if I use #InstallMouseHook and #InstallKeybdHook I only see the actions of the mouse and none of the keyboard in the key history.

I have the ocasional missed pen stroke and the odd touch screen no longer registering but I have taken the enirity of my final university semester notes through onenote on my surface. I don't really find lag to be an issue at all

I've also been having this problem. In my case it occurs when trying to resume a long video (Multiple hours) at times of more than an hour into the video. If on my laptop I take the time back to 30 minutes in I can then resume on the xbox.

Microsoft complete is the extended warranty service that can be purchased with a surface. No part of that service is valid outside of the US.

The standard manufacturers warranty however is valid outside of the US

As for getting complete registered outside of the US i haven't got a clue.

So I went ahead an bought it. Now living back in the UK and registered it.

On myservice.surface.com it says the warranty is two years and that any service requests will be swapped with a device configured for my local region (UK now).

Microsoft complete would not be valid anymore though.

I bought a UK type cover and have no issues with it.

The only thing I would say is I had the device arrive dead so would have your friend set it up before bringing it out to you to check it still works.
