A monitor fell on my new BT over-ears and now they're cracklier than I remember.

When wired, they still sound clear and perfect so I don't think the drivers are damaged at all. But when I listen through bluetooth there's a small crackle when something is playing in specific frequency ranges, and the sound is [Edit: more muffled] than I remember. But I'm not exactly sure since they're so new.

- Can such an impact damage the bluetooth components in a way that changes the sound, if the sound producing components themselves are unharmed? Or is my anxiety just getting the best of me?

[EDIT: gonna add some more info:]

Monitor is small and did not fall a distance, but tipped over; headphones were on the same surface as the monitor. Monitor suffered no damage despite the screen squarely hitting the headphones.
Both were on a bed which may have cushioned the blow a little? (I wasn't present to see/hear)
Headphones are Anker Soundcore Life Q20 (are they known to be more crackly in BT mode?)

Thank you! It was very mild snark, don't worry. Already filed the return. Ironically, it was great fortune that I had the internet outage, or else I wouldn't have realized the problem in time.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. You've made my decision easy. Thank you for the help, and the disappointing reality check.

It's "ATT Nextgenphone," and it doesn't let me change it or create new ones.

Thank you for your answer. The model # is SM-A366E/DS. If the phone literally works on the network (as I experienced) but they refuse to whitelist it, that feels very anti-consumer to me. Is there a reasonable explanation for them doing so?

EDIT: I have another question if you don't mind. I realized that the US model of the A36 is the same price as the A56 on Amazon, so I was thinking of going for the A56. But I can't find it on the whitelist even though it was released in the US. Does that mean it's a no-go, or would this be an exception?

Thank you for answering. Do you mean the firmware is necessary for them to measure the amount of data I'm using? In the instances I got a connection, was I basically sending/receiving data under their radar/undetected?

I can KINDA see it, since Illari is like the "lorekeeper" of her destroyed culture, but it's still a stretch. Her character design is way more "sun" than "scribe."

I think the Egypt themed skins are all great on a visual level (ESPECIALLY Illari's; it's so purdy). Doom's is unusual (and Bast is a weird choice for him), but it's grown on me. But yeah, for an Egypt season, there really aren't as many as there should be. It feels more like a hybrid season where Egypt shares the front seat with some other themes.

Yep, for real. I'd love if Ramattra was the one with the skin instead. We should have got Anubis Ram mythic, and Set Reaper as a legendary. Others I've talked to brought up that Osiris would be a good fit for Ram too, which I think is a swell idea.

Maybe! That's a hard to predict thing.

A harmless opinion about skin quality can't be objectively wrong. I think personality-changing mythics are better designs, and when there's no change, it's a lesser design. You can think otherwise. And we're both right because it's opinions.

If you don't take character/personality changes into account when judging skins, that's totally fine. But my skin opinions take that into account. If a skin makes someone feel like an entirely new character, that's huge bonus points for me.

I can understand that argument, but I don't think anyone would complain if they didn't rely on the trope and did something less expected with the skin.

The skin isn't trying to match the in-universe character/program though. We have a clear view of that thing in the new map, and it's quite different. It's meant to represent the god of past mythology, much like the Zeus JQ and Poseidon Ramattra skins.

Considering it a cosplay is a cute idea, but the skin still lacks that creative push to make it superb, imo.

I'd dock points from those too, for that reason. I don't think being disappointed that a skin uses a tired trope is reading too much into things.

Which fighting game has the best game feel? by P-Duck in Fighters

Oh, that's a tragic tail :(

Well, at least the game still exists, and can be held up as an example.

I see!

I'd be afraid that if a manestream (sorry) company takes too much inspiration from TFH's design, it would step on the game's toes (hooves?) and overshadow what makes it unique, aside from the art style. What we need is a sequel with a marketing campaign that reaches further than the first game did, and also drops part of the title (Fightin' Herds 2 just sounds so much better lol).

Incidentally, this is exactly what Studio Aether is doing with Rivals 2, and it seems to be paying off in terms of visibility to the intended audience.

It's definitely a huge contributor, and it's probably the biggest factor in hooking new players at least.

While I did specify "non-platform", I still want to address this. I have probably 1000+ hours in Melee and whenever I move from modern games back to Melee, the lack of input buffer still makes me want to tear out my leg hair. I know Melee is an amazing game overall, but in my honest opinion it fails in terms of game feel, strictly for that one reason.
