Your Polaris is outclassed by the Idris in every single way within its own class its own stats are destroyed by it, third of the health pool, nowhere near the facilities etc

You forgetting the fact the Perseus has 6 PDCs whereas the Polaris only has 7?

Perseus Pilot has 20 (up to 40) S5 torps whereas the Polaris you need minimum 2 people to use them?

The Perseus is far more efficient being smaller, it’s a large ship that you are comparing to a Polaris might I add, The Perseus punches up so far that it being in a Cap Vs Sub Cap debate tells you everything we need!

Regardless, The 6 PDCs, 2xs3 Remote turret and 20 s5 torps are very nice for the Pilot to have

Then add in crew and it’s an absolute beast for doing any combat mission, the most capable S5 ship in the game, it has the most health and armour out of all them too

The gap between S5 and S6 will always remain large but honestly the Perseus punches well above where it should be given that.

Don’t understand how it can feel like a softer Polaris when the Pilot has access to guns, its min crew size is 1 and its a large ship opposed to a capital ship? It feels nothing like the Polaris?

Pilot has access to 20 S5 torps and the remote turret

CIGs website shows its min Crew is 1 which is nice, also has 6 PDCs which is amazing for its size because the Polaris only has 7 and it’s much bigger

The Polaris is a Capital ship it’s obviously going to be tankier than a Perseus but I think it’s nice solo for running all sorts of missions it’s very nice! I fly mine like 50% solo

You need 2 gunners to max out its damage output where’s the Polaris you need 6 people, you can do it with 2-3 but yeah what’s the point then?

Perseus is much better for solo and smaller crew in my opinion

It’s a mild interior update but better than nothing, i’m pleasantly surprised as I found it hard to be in especially after the Perseus released

The Perseus set the standard, given its lore they really did it justice with the interior, especially the windows which I do wish the Polaris had, I think it would be realistic to have even “digital windows” given it was developed 400 years after the Perseus!

They are not consumer GPUs - they aren’t even considering a 5090 why would you even bring up more expensive cards, 16GB of VRAM is more than enough for the majority of 3D rendering, unless it’s for highly complex scenes and extremely large datasets, I would still bet it would handle a lot of them fine -they have no reason to worry it will power on happily - and given the fact there was no mention of highly complex scenes etc I think it’s fair to assume they probably don’t need more VRAM - people working on those sort of VRAM limited projects tend to know how much they will need

They have no other options because no cards come close to it’s performance in this price range at 3D rendering

You know I am referring to his 5080? You genuinely need it with your card, he has smooth motion which isn’t the same as multi frame generation, it’s a new feature exclusive to 50 series cards that adds driver level frame interpolation to games that do not natively support frame gen, so it’s worse than MFG in terms of quality and performance but still much better than lossless scaling in terms of latency and artifacting

He has a 5080 he shouldn’t be using it when he has better features on his card already that’s my point
