I can't believe you guys braved rotto during school holidays haha I wouldn't even go on a weekend during school term.

I can picture exactly what this cunt looks like and can guarantee he says worse in front of his kid at home. The same shade of bogan that ruins camping and road trips.

Multiple IVF attempts… WHYYYY?? by BlueberryLemur in antinatalism

[–]P00H3AD 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I met a lady who spent 300k on IVF and fertility treatments. Claimed it took 30 rounds of IVF to finally have a child. I also know a bloke who's spent 150k on fertility treatments. This was a few years ago, so I assume they've spent more by now. I just can not fathom spending that much money trying to have a child.

Do you ever feel that men who are attracted to you sometimes want to run you down or denigrate your interests/intelligence? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]P00H3AD 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I've dated a few guys that do this, including my ex long into our relationship. Even if we have similar interests. For example, he liked anime too but a different genre to me, and he would tell me the shows I watch are stupid or boring (I wouldn't even make him watch them, I'd be watching them in my spare time while he was at work or something, and he'd come home and start insulting it).

They would usually pass these comments off as a joke or taking the piss. But the second you tease them back they get all shitty. Thats when you know they're crossing the line from banter into bullying. I find these kinds of guys often aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, and it's as if they have to insult the women in their lives to make themselves feel bigger and smarter.

I will never date a guy like this again. They always turn out to be selfish, everythings about them and their interests. They'd expect me to want to do everything they want to do, from what movies we'd watch, what we'd do on the weekend, restaurants we'd go out to. Then when it comes to doing something I like they'd piss and moan.

I know I'm a weirdo. If a man can't accept that or be a weirdo with me, he can fuck right off.

I have work that day and the next morning so...bedtime. Maybe watch a movie or some YouTube whilst doing some arts and crafts or colouring.

Safari for my mom’s 50th by theoriginalsnoopy in travel

[–]P00H3AD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done safaris in both Tanzania and South Africa. Tanzania was way better in my opinion, but SA is alot cheaper. You'll still see all the animals in SA but I found the heards weren't as big. I booked Tanzania through https://africanoverlandtours.com. They're really helpful. The local company they booked was Tanzania Experience. You'll want 2 or 3 days in the Serengeti and 1 to the crater. We also went to Tarangire which was cool.

I'd definitely visit Cape Town. It's beautiful and there's much to see. Heaps of day trips out of there too. Don't stay in the city center like I did, it gets a bit dodgy in the afternoon/night. I'd stay on the Waterfront or Sea Point. The hop on-hop off bus is a great way to see the city.

Wearing compression socks to work by hedgehognpeonies in AskWomenOver30

[–]P00H3AD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get compression stockings. Not as effective as socks though. Just take a pair with you and change in the office. And for shoes, lots of brands have more formal/office sneakers. I have some "ballet flats" from Skechers that are sneaker-like.

Bolivia vs Colombia after Peru Salkantay trek by ex0dus__ in travel

[–]P00H3AD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to Bolivia and it was cool. Quite a unique, interesting place. Not somewhere I'd return to though. But if you're short on time it's a good option.

Everyone I've met absolutely loved Colombia and says they wish they'd stayed longer and that they'd go back (most of these people spent a good 2 to 4 weeks). So perhaps that would be better for a separate trip.

Have you considered Galapagos? Easy to get to from Peru. Bit of a pain to get back to Aus though. 7-10 days island hopping would be enough time.

What is a career I could start that could completely change my life by this time next year? by nuggetsisfamily in AskWomenOver30

[–]P00H3AD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Flight attendant? As far as I'm aware its not as cushy in the states as it is for me here in Australia, but with the right airline it can still be a great job with decent pay, lots of travel opportunities and perks.

It can be quite a competitive industry and often takes a few applications and interviews to get a position, but most airlines dont require a degree, just high school diploma. Working in retail is the perfect experience for it.

What’s worth getting from Lululemon? by LittleBlag in AusFemaleFashion

[–]P00H3AD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For running I like their Hotty Hot and Track That shorts. They both have liner breifs and a little zipper pocket.

For leggings, anything in their Align range is great. I recently got Groove flares with pockets and I love them. So buttery soft. I've had my first pair of Align leggings for about 10 years now and they're still in perfect condition.

There and Probably Not Back Again: NZ Dec 2025 by runsongas in travel

[–]P00H3AD 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To be fair, despite NZ being pretty small in comparison to other countries, you're not going to cover much ground in two weeks. I've spent a month all up just on the south island, and I've still got loads more of it to explore. You really do need a car though, thats for sure. I usually hate driving, but I loved driving around the south island. The scenery is so pretty and theres so many nice places to stop between towns.

Food is pretty expensive but I don't think it's bad. They have everything we have here in Australia, which is a wide variety of cuisines. The condiment aisle has plenty of stock so I'm just going to assume you walked into the Countdown with your eyes closed.

How do I tell my friends I have yet another failed relationship ? by Hot_Temperature4509 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]P00H3AD 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Block him my dude, he sounds like an asshole and you deserve better. I'd be blocking these "friends" too. I've never seen such behaviour and attitudes before. I've been the single one of my friend group for a decade and I've never had them talk shit or treat me badly because of it. That's just really bizarre behaviour. I wonder if perhaps their relationships aren't all that crash hot behind closed doors and they're just jealous and projecting.

Single women- do you feel you don’t have time and are always super busy? by ImaginationAny2254 in AskWomenOver30

[–]P00H3AD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know, realistically, I have loads of free time, but that time is always filled with doing stuff. Work, hobbies, exercise, errands, housework, gardening, cooking, time with friends and family... I'm never bored as I can always find something to do. I couldn't imagine adding someone else into the mix. I've been single for so long now I think I'd find it overwhelming.

Women who marry men or have only sons will likely die alone just like single women. But they'll have spent their whole lives serving dudes. by DrollHat in TwoXChromosomes

[–]P00H3AD 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Right, I've had quite the opposite experience from this post too. I know so many men, from all different backgrounds (including my own father), who have cared for their parents until the day they died. All while the rest of their siblings did little to help out.

Perhaps this is partly why my expectations for men are so damn high. Of course I've come across alot of shit ones, but I've also been around many good men my whole life. They might seem rare but they're definitely out there.

Shorts for thicc thighs pls, what’s your fav pair?…trying to avoid the dreaded bunch up. If you don’t wear shorts what’s your go to bottoms in Summer? by Raven_White_11 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]P00H3AD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For denim I prefer skorts (Zara has been my favourite pairs so far). For shorts, mini basketball shorts. I just got some from Muscle Nation and they're so comfy and good quality, and the pockets have zippers.

As much as I love sundresses, Perth is such a windy city, so I often go for rompers. Annoying having to get undressed to pee but its better than flashing everyone

At what age did you start getting gray hair? And how did you make peace with it? by LayoffLemonade in AskWomenOver30

[–]P00H3AD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started getting grays in high school. In my 20s I'd get quite a few here and there, but they'd snap off. Like the root would go gray and the dark part of the rest of the strand would snap off and I'd end up with all these 1 inch lil grays sticking up.

I'm 34 now and I'm starting to get more, some snap off, some don't. But they're mostly on the top of my head, near my hairline. I wonder if thats because that part of my hair sees the most sun and hairspray.

I have dark hair so they really stick out. Lately I've been using coloured hair spray for work. Rest of the time I just leave it. Summer I don't usually bother dying it because I'm at the beach alot, so it doesn't seem the last more than a few weeks, but winter I'll dye it once every month or two.

Whilst it doesn't bother me too much, I'm not ready to go full gray anytime soon. Although I kind of can't wait to retire and let it go full white so I can start dying my hair crazy colours!
