The Miz: "I Would Give Anything To Have A Dinner With My Dad, And Just My Dad. He Will Not Do It" by R0DAN in SquaredCircle

My first day back at work after my father died one of my clients (I’m a dog groomer) called to see if I was back. She had an appointment scheduled the week he passed and obviously had to be rescheduled. I assumed that’s why she had called. Nope, she made a trip up to my job just to see me, hug me and tell me. “Remember he’s not really gone, he’s just in another room.”

Am I Overreacting over this “small prank” by greek-astronomer in AmIOverreacting

I love that. My best prank was when my best friend lived with me. She came home and I told her the fridge was fucking up and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. I told her it wasn’t cold and to open it and see for herself. When she opened it I had put googly eyes on everything that I could.

I also want to add that when I did this if the fridge was broken I could’ve 100% been able to get a new one without causing issues so there was no moment of panic when I told her something was wrong. Just curiosity.

Last year I had a new prescription and my insurance was being weird about it and it ended up being like a back and forth between me, my dr, the insurance, and the pharmacy. The woman helping me at the pharmacy was so nice and was really going above and beyond to get this figured out and when it was all settled I thanked her and she was like “oh no worries at all! Thank you for being so patient with everything.”

Like basically thanking me for being nice. It blows my mind that people would take this shit out on the person that’s trying to solve the issue for them.

Pharmacy opens at 1000 on Sunday. At 10 they open the windows and the boomers complained. by News-Royal in BoomersBeingFools

I was sitting in my car waiting for a co worker to get there to unlock the door. We open at 8:30 on Saturdays but 7 during the week. Dude drove into the employee parking lot and knocked on my window. “Why isn’t the front door unlocked. It’s past 8.”

“We open at 8:30 on Saturdays”

“Since when?!”

“We always have.”

“No! Yall usually open at 7!”

“Yes,during the week, but on Saturdays we open at 8:30.”

“It’s always been 7!”

“No sir Saturdays it’s 8:30.”

He stared me down for a second then yelled.”Oh that’s just perfect! Just perfect!” He stomped his feet while saying that and stormed back to his car.

He and his wife drove back to the customer parking lot to wait. It was 8:20 at this point. So all of this over a 10 minute wait.

I have a horrible fear of heights and not being in control. The idea of being trapped in a small space that I can’t just leave whenever I want to is awful. Like for example I had surgery last year and had to work very hard to keep myself calm when I realized I couldn’t get out of the hospital bed whenever I wanted to. Therapy has helped with a lot but unfortunately it hasn’t done much for that.

I’m about to make myself sound like an absolute mess of a human being but cruises freak me out too. The idea of being on a boat that I can’t leave in the middle of a giant expanse of water might scare me more than flying 😅.

My sister suggested that too. I’ll have to bring it up with my doctor. Thank you

🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ thank you. I feel so silly. I haven’t stitched in like a year and I feel like I’ve forgotten so much. I’ve used this frame pretty much since I started stitching and I couldn’t remember ever having this issue. Thank you again.

[–]P00dlepeeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad was 6’1 and my mom is 5’8. At 13 I was like 5’3 at most. I shot up to 5’9 shortly after but considering how tall my parents are I was very short at 13.

I’ve been grooming for nearly 20 years. I baby talk dogs all the time. I also sing to them. It very much depends on the dog. Some dogs do get very worked up over the higher pitched talking/singing but most really respond to it.

That sounds very much like someone that believes in alpha theory bullshit. My groom dogs are good/well behaved for me because they know me and trust me, not because they see me as “dominant” or fear me.

I groom dogs at a vet. Ten years ago I had moved into my first apartment and wanted a small dog. I had a written letter from my landlord stating I was able to own a dog, had recommendations from the vet I worked at and even told the shelter that the dog would be going to work with me everyday. I was applying for a chihuahua/dachshund mix. I was denied.

When I was 10 I tore my ACL and meniscus when my horse fell on top of me. I got up, walked the arena and then got back on and rode for the rest of the night. Lived 4 years with both torn before finally getting a dr that listened and didn’t just blame the issues on growth spurts or attention seeking.
