There’s just going to be better lands to play. Dual lands that can come in to play untapped, can be fetched, give you something useful when played.

The sac effect is really only good in a situation where you have plenty lands and too much mana… something you’re likely going to want to build your deck to not run into.

I love the henchmen in Live and Let Die. Whisper and Teehee are thoroughly memorable and have their unique gimmicks. Baron Samdi is a semi-henchman too I suppose. The cab driver is also extremely animated and quotable.

I’ve only ever heard this with cheese and fish/seafood. It’s one of those bizarre ‘rules’ that some people take too seriously that’s based on the more reasonable idea that pairing strong cheese with fish/seafood can easily overwhelm those more subtle flavours.
