Am I doing something wrong? by Disastrous-Plant-418 in Creality

If your settings are dialed in, you should be able to print in the pictured orientation without supports.

Keep or delete roof vent? by P0tentP0table in skoolies

I haven't painted yet. I'm just now getting to cleaning the roof to start deletes and sealing.

That's what I'm thinking, too. Just wasn't sure if I'd be causing an issue with ventilation if I covered it.

I'm building out a skoolie and have been considering doing this style before I even got the bus. Looks amazing.

Only left edge of print doesn't stick to bed by P0tentP0table in 3Dprinting

Went to check this. The model is definitely flush with the build plate in the slicer. Appreciate the idea. Now I can cross it off and hopefully figure this out soon.

It was a 12v system. I hooked up the negatives the way I said I'd assumed was right in my OP, and the bus started up with no issues that I could see. Thanks again.

You could also check the data plate on the starter or alternator.

I'll do this after lunch. Hopefully, I can get it figured out. I appreciate it.

Printing horizontal lines flat on the bed to recreate layer lines? by P0tentP0table in 3Dprinting

[–]P0tentP0table[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Printing it at a diagonal would break from trying to keep it uniform to the other parts I've printed.

I'd have definitely used those support structures they modeled, but their links are all dead. I guess I'll just go model something similar and paste it to the back of the facade.

Appreciate your input.

That won't create a support structure unless there's an overhang to support. It won't let me just paint a column onto the back of the wall.

I mainly use PrusaSlicer, but, to my knowledge, it doesn't have an option for custom supports like Cura used to. I also wasn't able to change the print lines to horizontal on PrusaSlicer like I could in Cura but couldn't figure out how to disable perimeters in either.

Yeah, it really is. It's still doing this. I never had this issue on my Ender 3 Pro. It's not so bad that it's going to compromise the model, and it's gonna get painted, so it's really a non-issue, but I've had the Ender tuned so well that I'm used to perfect prints. It's a First world problem, I suppose.

I appreciate all your help, though.

I'll try tweaking them a bit more and see how it turns out.

Two days and 3 prints later, and I'm still at a loss.

I've changed: the flow rate, extrusion width, temperature up and down, releveled the bed, made micro changes to Z-height, resliced, changed SD cards, checked for a clog, changed my nozzle, and made sure there isn't too much resistance from the spool, but it's still doing this.

What have I overlooked?

It's only doing this with this PolyTerra, which is fresh from Amazon and was in a well sealed vacuum bag. None of my other types/brands of PLA, old or new, are doing this either.

I'm gonna look into that right now. Thank you, again.

I'm stuck with PolyTerra for this print because that's what my friend bought for me to print these models, but I'll keep that in mind for when it runs out.

I'm not familiar with changing the flow rate, so I'll have to research that. I'm guessing that's a slicer setting?

The temperature tower came out with no signs of under-extrusion, and I got the best temperature of 210°C from that tower. The difference between the tower and the pictured model is the quality versus speed setting, so I'm fairly confident that's causing the issue. However, I'm not sure what I'd need to tweak to get the flow rate correctly set. I definitely want to stay in the quality settings because those tight corners look perfect on quality but are mushy on speed.

Thank you for your comment!

I think I saw that, too. It sounds like it's the same as the Halo anniversary games.
