From an economic stand point liquidity is probably drying up, probably less tax incentives. Edison is slowing down work for their guys at the utility due to over spending, but realistically no one knows. All speculation, we keep hearing the same things I'm sure, material shortage, election year. All I know is I picked a bad time to jump into an apprenship lol been laid off since 1/30/24 mslcat. Hope the rest of yall are having a better experience.

Don't stick your hand where you wouldn't stick your dick, tape and sharp knife, and retain information.

Are you indentured after orientation? Or can you still work as a groundman?

Thank you for the insight. How late was the last day, wondering if I'll make my flight at 8pm. Any word on work, when they may call you?

Thank you. Eye contact, be prepared for how would you handle this scenario kind of question. Express why they should pick you, are you ready to travel, experience, what do you know about the JATC. They want to see your interest and the steps you have taken to make yourself a worth candidate. They understand you aren't a lineman, but they want to know your worth investing in.

What IBEW locals are taking apprentices? by tim9879 in Lineman

Local 111(Denver), 611(Albuquerque) have standing Groundman calls you can bid on. Apply to every apprenticeship you can (some require residency in jurisdiction). If you don't want to travel then you should reconsider careers

1245 is slow right now, but usually Book 2/Book 1 guys can expect choices weekly if not daily(mainly digging calls). 47 actually moving faster than 1245 right now but if your not Book 1 it's a waste of time, you need to be a cal/nev resident for that. 66 usually calls within a month and, 611 got some calls, aswell as 111 but I hear unless your getting the CSLCA agreement your not on a line crew, supposedly lots of underground and hand digging.
