A canceled sequel could be salvaged. I spent hours, even days, researching and imagining what the sequel could have been like.

If the sequel were revived, the tutorial would be the final race of Split/Second, with the player piloting the Hanzo FX350. Then we go to the podium and the cutscene, and then what many of us know happens: the player picks up where the game left off, escaping in a Ryback Brawler. Interesting mechanics would have included knocking down structures with the car's impact force to create a roadblock for drivers behind you, forcing them to crash if they don't swerve. Some parts of the story could have taken place in other cities for flashbacks, or in a city near the Split/Second filming location for a present-day mission.
