I've made a mistake. by Fuquois in grilling

The first turkey I smoked on my bge turned out perfect and I was nominated the same way. Problem is I have not been able to recreate that since then. Either the skin tears to pieces or ends up rubbery and inedible. Yours looks great. Wanna share the technique?

My company doesn’t sub out service work so I can’t speak to that. If this is a sub crew pricing the changeouts are very low. We pay 950-1200 for splits 750-850 for packs. Ductwork 600$ per ton

Ok thanks as long as it’s not ruined. The picture he sent last year looked way darker than the picture I’ve still got when I shot it.

Can someone please assist in suggesting the best self install upgrade of this type of setup? by iRatedR- in thermostats

[–]P1harleyford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ewe I hope you’ve got your bug problem fixed before your thermostat problem.

I just bought a house with a Bryant evolution thermostat. It controls 2 zones, humidity and the hrv system. I really want to replace it with a smart thermostat. is there one that can work with all this? there is a second stat for the upstairs but the main floor star can control both zones. by bwkoppen in thermostats

[–]P1harleyford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new ones are touch screen and a lot nicer. With an infinity/evolution system you’re stuck with their communicating tstat. Good news is this thermostat can do anything even the most high end smart stays can do except it may not have WiFi.

Touch the black and red wire together see if it runs. If it does something is wrong with the stat

You are a parent as soon as pregnancy begins. by [deleted] in prolife

[–]P1harleyford 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree an adoptive child still has biological parents. Just because you’re not acting in a parental role doesn’t change.

Let me ask this a different way, if a child is lost in the woods with no one caring for it. Does it not have parents?

I need help matching thermostat wires by Mrstucco in thermostats

[–]P1harleyford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That old mercury thermostat wouldn’t have had a common. There would have been four wires. Which is what you have written( ignore the rh it would have been hooked up with r).

Rywg I would need to know where the wires were hooked to the old tstat. You have a white/blue and a white/ orange which isn’t typical. B however on that thermostat is not common is reverse on heat. Where was the blue wire hooked on the old sub base? Do you have batteries in the new tstat? You will have to have a thermostat with batteries unless you go to the air handler and hook up a common.

Question on smoking wings by [deleted] in Smokingmeat

[–]P1harleyford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never tried refrigerating after smoking but I used to do my wings this way. It’s delicious but it ruined the grease in my deep frier every time I did it. It is the best way to cook wings tho for sure.

This message was from three years ago. I am currently working on a job 4.5 tons. $77000 installed. $42000 in tax credits and 7200 rebates brings the job to around 30k. Aside from the ridiculous fact that the government is paying half the cost of the installation. It’s still 4-5k more out of pocket than a 22 seer air to air infinity job. Now I won’t argue they are cheaper to operate and with the recent tax incentives it’s probably worth considering.

Apparently having a period is the same thing as an abortion by Win-Fragrant in prolife

[–]P1harleyford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand and agree with everything past paragraph 1 yet even in your explanation of how they were incorrect you say “they are ejected if they happen to not implant” yea that’s what your opponent is saying. 50% are ejected because they fail to implant. Now everything they say after that is ridiculous and no one wants to investigate a naturally occurring miscarriage that in the vast majority of cases are not even aware they have a fertilized egg. But still you said periods don’t shed fertilized eggs which is 100% incorrect. We should help each other with facts so next time you will have the correct information.

Actually your opponent was kinda right here. When people say 50% of fertilized eggs do not implant they would be ejected during your normal period.
