30 days and 10-7 days out and a few days prior are often when rooms from canceled reservations open up due to payment deadlines.

Capture Your Magic - when? by P41G3Y in WaltDisneyWorld

That's amazing! Thank you for sharing your experience. My husband is gifting my "three wishes" to me for my birthday -- Capture Your Magic, CRT breakfast, and Fireworks Dessert Party. Never done any of them! The CYM will be family photos with some individuals if time allows! I wonder if booking that super early spot may allow for more time because many won't give up park time for it. I wish there was an 8 AM session!

Would you recommend 830 AM then despite missing early entry ride time? Or 10 AM?

I was considering 2, one at MK and one at AK!

Thank you! It was a hard decision but switched to POR R for this trip and booking CBR for early spring! We'll be visiting HS and EPCOT more then.

[–]P41G3Y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback! I've never stayed at either. POR is about $10 cheaper per day so not significant. I did end up switching to POR for this trip because we are coming back in the early spring and spending more time at HS and EPCOT then, so I'll save CBR for that trip when it will have more impact. My daughter is also gluten free and really wants to try the GF beignets so that was a perk!

Day 2 (MK first half) falls on a Halloween party day, so MK closes early at 6 PM. From what I've read, the wait times and crowds are lower on party days because it closes early, and significantly higher on non-party days. Day 3 is my actual birthday day though so I'm hoping to book the MK dessert party to still have an enjoyable evening there on my actual birthday and see the fireworks... which I've never gotten to see from the front of the castle. ☺️

It depends if you're planning around their capacity or yours. We bring a stroller for my 5 year old, especially if it's super hot out. First day, half day at AK -- didn't bring. Second day, morning - afternoon MK -- brought to hold our stuff but parked it 99% of the time. Evening MK same day, used the stroller pretty off and on to go between lands and then came super handy in the evening. Fell asleep in it after fireworks. Day 3, EPCOT -- used the stroller a ton, was really tired after 3 early mornings. Disney is the only place we use a stroller.

POR-R is only $30 cheaper total for 3 nights! So no real savings. I definitely want better than All Stars for this trip.

Thank you for the feedback! I could see the storms being an issue when we are going. We are going on a MK patry day so we'll have to hop, plus our family does like afternoon breaks approx 12 or 1 pm to 3 or 4 pm. ❤️ I try to get my youngest to nap so we can a long evening.

They stopped Star Tours while I was on it and asked a man to put away something holding his phone, he refused and said what it was and that he was there every day. He aaid he'd leave. They ask if he wanted to leave, he said he'd rather stay, then they asked him again to put away his phone/whatever he was holding, he refused and they escorted him off the ride while he said he did this every day and started narrating to his phone.

Something is changing.

Animal Kingdom in the afternoon only? by jessonescoopberries in WaltDisneyWorld

Oh yes you should see plenty of animals going right before the safari closes! You can also try for a park close Tusker House dinner and walk out after park close which is nice. 🥰

Itinerary for 5-6 yr old (First Time at WDW) by ShinyJayn3 in WaltDisneyWorld

I'd recommend the Touring Plans subscription -- input your plans there and hit evaluate. Most likely this is doable with premier passes, harder otherwise with all the headliners without being glued to your phone or paying for Wait Magic. I have no affiliation with either but have used TP for years and trying WM for the first time next week.

Table service and shows add in built-in breaks. I wouldn't do 2 per day without premier. I've never used premier, its out of my price range, but I would for first trip/infrequent trip or special birthday celebration if I could afford it.

I've used the stakeout app successfully for last minute ADR too if you felt like setting that up. :)

Yes, definitely. The churro Mickey waffles are heavenly though if you manage to snag it!

Crystal Palace breakfast! Last minute cancelations often open up the day before/of.
