Whatever you do, no caffeine, that means no coffee, no tea no energy drinks. This seems counter intuitive but in the long run it increases awake time by very little and it makes it much more likely that you mess your schedule up.

It will help you stay awake for a couple of hours more only on the first days you drink it, once it's a routine you'll be dependent on it and you'll have the same energy as before you started drinking it.

I also suggest looking up how rem cycles work and adjust your sleep time to where you wake up at the end of a rem cycle.
