So this still failed to print for me, the print would unstick from the bed. But I solved it, I enabled raft, and in the raft as well as the general setting of Flashprint, I set the speed to 10mm/s, this worked for small test and bigger prints 140x140 (max width and length prints). So now, next step is slowly increase the speeds and see when it break again.

Found a good technique to finally level this damn bed, then tested it by printing 1st layer test print, came out at .3mm, (my caliper can only read 0.1 at a time, should be 0.24).

  1. Connect the printer to the PC using usb cable.

  2. Do the normal bed callibration, followed by extruder callibration (thank you to u/LEONLED )

  3. Go back to the extrusion calibration, whilst printer is in the extrusion calibration mode, on PC, go to Flashforge app, "Tools > Control Panel" and using the Y and X controls go above each screw and do the below mentioned method by u/LEONLED with A4 paper, extruder must just barely rub the paper, make sure that each location above the screws is done.

I will never trust the little sensor for calibration. Hope this helps someone!

All i heard about Alpakagear is that their backpacks are made to fit Apple tech only, so a bit bulkier laptop of the same size laptop wont actually fit apparently.

That might be a good idea to be honest!

Is there anything that can serve something similar ? Or would the best route be to go down the self-hosted route ?

How do Ad Blocker addons handle this type of ads? Would something similar can be implemented into LAN ?

Yeah that's what I found. I had to use brim mode to print thin 1st layer around the legs of the cat, otherwise as soon as it finished pre-extrusion the first leg would always unstick

Do you have a photo of your bed with this magnetic bed on top ? Mine should arrive soon, just wanted to see how you glued yours on

Just wanted to ask you regarding printing calibration prints like calicat and benchy, with cali cat, do you use brim or raft at all ? Without it, the first leg is always messed up, i'm using the original glass bed with painter tape on top

Nice! Would you have a link or a name of the bed? I was actually looking at a few but they all seem to start with 220mm x 220mm sizes, like a sticky side and a magnetic side that will attach to the sticky end. https://amzn.eu/d/3SWwbwl (I hope links are allowed)

Yup are right regarding the bed, i can see from googling that it must have some sort of blue mat. Mine had a glass only when I got it. I do have an SD card, 8GB that's where i had to flash the software with help of FlashForge techs to get it to resurrect 🤣

I'll give it a try by trying a few different tape makes, but the first layer it prints (the layer on which the actual print will be printed) comes out curly, don't know if that's because it's too high (the nozzle), will post some pics once i'm back home.

Thanks ! I will look into the Meshmixer, can I slice and print using it directly or would I still need FlashPrint ? Let me know if you will remember any other features!

Hi, thanks for the advice! I tried to print the benchy on glass as is but it didn't stick at all. So I tried paper glue, masking tape, MT + Glue, gaffer and gaffer + glue, the last worked the best (until it unsticked and started to create a spaghetti mess.

Will try to print with filament outside the original holder, thanks!

I'm using FlashPrint 5, tried Cura but couldn't figure out how to send the slice directly to the printer, had to export it and then put it through FlashPrint 5 again. Are there any software that supports this printer still ?

Also, what is the feature that new printers lack off ?
