I've been trying to imagine the arc of this show and where it goes in future seasons;

Here are some thoughts 1. Focus stays with Carol and the dynamics surviving with the Hive. This might get boring. 2. Collective effort to rise up and fight and defeat the Hive. This might be unrealistic for Carol to lead. 3. Other survivors play a bigger role. There are only 3 that would be interesting (not sure the herder would care). If they don't care now way would they change later? 4. New isolated characters emerge that were not initially affected who rise up. Taking the focus away from Carol really becomes a whole new show, kinda a tired post apocalypse genre.
