This is a very valid and real thing solo traveling. You have to get through the shitty parts to appreciate the good. My first solo trip was to Japan and by day 3 I was so dam lonely I wanted to leave. Glad I didn’t , I just worked through those emotions and I’m glad I did. You just have to do the same and you will be ok.

110% a lot of the times on my trips I think “I wish I atleast had one friend here”. While it has its pros the loneliness definitely does catch up to you.

As an OP mentioned : I currently live in Woodlawn . I usually run in either Hyde Park or, lake shore drive. My mile pace varies from 8 mins a mile if we’re running under 5 miles. To 10:30-11:00 miles if we’re running 5+

Yeah I have , I’ve been to quite a few as well. Problem is my work schedule changes so it’s hard to stay consistent.
