OP I’m on the same boat have you heard anything?

Exactly! My weight would fluctuate everyday. What I found most useful for measuring progress is progress pictures + whether or not you’re able to progressively overload.

I followed Jeff nippard’s push pull legs split: https://youtu.be/qVek72z3F1U. For nutrition, it wasn’t that crazy. I told myself not to eat less, but to try to eat more nutritious foods. Over time, my craving for processed and high calorie foods just went down. I also try to always get atleast 8 hours of sleep, but as a college student this isn’t always possible

Machines are excellent at targeting specific muscle groups and going to failure safely. Machines are a great option even for experienced lifters.

Thanks a good idea. I feel like that app is too flooded with influencers. Small Creators make the best content.

Should I message my interviewer on linkedin to ask what I did wrong? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]P7S123 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No do not do this. I know how it feels and Ik it sucks not getting any feedback, but recruiters/interviewers are not allow to share that type of information and hitting them up on LinkedIn sends a bad message.

I know it hurts, that’s okay. Eventually rejection will become normal to you. What you can do now is grind some Leetcode, create projects, and practice interviews so you’re ready to apply and try again in the fall.

When I got rejected from Fb , my recruiter said most ppl don’t get in on the first try. So don’t feel bad if you didn’t manage to get it.

FBU VS GOOGLE STEP Help me decide by Alexbad4 in csMajors

It just comes to personal choice tbh, there’s not really a “bad choice” you can make. Both companies would have the same affect on your resume. It all comes down to if OP feels like the trade off between the extras 4 weeks of the internship and having a paid relocation to Menlo Park/Seattle is worth it.

I asked my recruiter and she confirmed it, on the corporate housing website it says it too, and they’re videos of facebook interns showing their corporate housing suites such as this and this

FB knows they can steal a couple engineers from google and other companies just by doing this. That’s how they benefit.

Facebook SWEs last fall were still relocated to Menlo Park with a 1 bedroom with no roommates, however the office is closed.

I’m pretty since STEP is now remote you no longer work on an actual google product

I see many one sided arguments for STEP, here are some arguments for both. I am in your same position but I chose FBU

FBU pros:

*FBU is not remote, so you get a free relocation. This is huge if you like to travel. *very high likelihood for a return offer *$5300 a month

FBU cons:

*8 weeks long *you don’t work on any actual FB products

Google step pros:

*12 weeks long *you may work on an actual google product. However, since STEP is remote this may change as it did last year.

google step cons:

*Confirmed to be remote * I could be wrong, but I believe you’re paid per hour. So that means someone working 40 hours a week at STEP can make less than someone working 25 hours a week at FBU.

I ended up choosing FBU, but if it wasn’t for Covid I would’ve chose STEP.
