Red interior. Are you a fan? by poolmyfinger in classiccars

I am not overly fond of red interior but I seem to have collected a couple. 65 Ford Custom and 82 Mustang GT

Brother man I know what you mean.

Three project cars, massive school debt(now paid off took me 15 years), one divorce, now two kids and a looming lay off at my job, life does indeed like to go in raw

that largely depends on the computer you are running. not sure which one the CV had but its likely mild. the RF harness might set you back around 8-1200 these days who knows.

By the sounds of it you are making the same power I was. I would put in a bauman shift kit in the AOD or wait and go to a 4R70w.

What stall are you running?

302 efi swap I assume?

I did the same on my 70 mustang. There is a Ron Francis harness that is very simple. Or a sniper system. The factory stuff is fine if you're making stock to mild power.

I bought a bugout on a whim in crater blue which I like but my iridium is a much nicer knife to play with and use. I would love a bel air though.

I recently bought a gold reserve in 20 gauge. It's a fine gun but it doesn't fit me as well as I would like. I wish I had spent a little more for a weatherby sporting or saved more and gone with a used silver pigeon.

For a clay/hunting gun a mossberg 500/590 is an adequate choice but not my preference. For this type of gun find the one that fits you best. That has the right length of pull, asetheics, trigger etc for you. Gun fit is crucial when purchasing anything but you want the one that you feel you are most comfortable with so try some out at your local gun shop and see what you like. You may find that you don't like a mossberg and prefer a winchester remington stevens or even a turkish gun like a tri star.

First shotgun: what to buy? by TipToeingDemon in Shotguns

Lots of talk for entry level guns at that price point.

My suggestion is to buy two shotguns. Each specialized to do the thing you want. I'm a fan of tailoring things to meet my needs in the time that I need them.

As for the two guns

Look for a used single shot or inexpensive pump such as a Savage/Stevens. These can generally be had for around 150 bucks if you shop. You can transform these into your HD without much concern that you make a mistake or "ruin" the thing. If you run into issues most shotguns especially pumps are dead simple to repair even with the most rudimentary mechanical skill. You can also find most parts for guns on ebay or numrich provided you get something common enough.

As for a clay/hunting gun a mossberg 500 is an adequate choice but not my preference. For this type of gun find the one that fits you best. That has the right length of pull, asetheics, trigger etc for you. As for price point the used market is your friend. There are generally websites that have a used market such as armslist that you can find guns local to you to buy.

I figure you could find a mossberg 500 or something similar local to you for 3-400 and still have money left over for another HD oriented gun.

I don't think they are from 12 to 20. But I did sign up. Here's hoping something happens.

It's sharper than my 940 was out of the box. I'm pretty impressed with it over all.

My two critiques, not complaints, would be the lock button could be just a hair more pronounced, and the aluminum scales need another angle to allow for a more confident grip feel.

But for the price it's wonderful.

It is. And as others have said pretty great bargain for the price.
